Header Promotion
Some of you may recall that last year my daughter became engaged to a very nice young man. They were planning to be married in July 2009. Well, in May of this year they decided they really didn't want to wait that long, so moved it up to August 16, 2008.
Thankfully, a good friend was able to serve as sort of a wedding planner. Among Allison, daughter Beth, and myself, we were able to get it planned. Last Saturday we executed the plan, and it went perfectly! 
We had no crises, no bridezilla moments, and no meltdowns. The weather was perfect, and everything ran pretty much on time.
So now my baby girl is a wife, and I am a mother-in-law 
!

Glad to hear things went on without a hitch. My sister's anniversary is on August 15. This year marks 5 years. August 13 2003 marks the day of the huge power outage here in some provinces and some of the States. The power was out for over 24 hours. Luckily the power came back about 4 hours before the wedding

Wow - I sure would have been sweating bullets on that one.
August 16 was the only day we could get everyone together whom we wanted there. It is kind of funny how it worked out, as Scott's parents were married on August 13, and my husband and I on August 20. We shouldn't have any trouble remembering their anniversary!
