Your Bed or Mine?, 2/2008, A Wrong Bed story

Kate Hoffmann gives us another entertaining story!  What happens when long time friends become new lovers?

Your Bed or Mine? does start out with Caley climbing into her sisters bed late at night and discovering the next morning that it isn't her sister but her teenage crush, Jake! 

When Caley Lambert arrives at the Chicago airport late at night she discovers her room has been given away.  Instead of searching for another hotel she rents a car and starts the two hour drive to the family cottage at North Lake, Wisconsin.  The reason for this trip during the cold, wintery weather is a 30th anniversary party for her parents planned by her sister Emma.  When Caley finally arrives at her destination, in the wee small hours, she is exhausted, wanting nothing more than sleep.  Caley finds her sisters room occupied but thinking it is her sister falls into bed, then into a deep sleep.  Imagine her shock the next morning when she wakes up to find herself in bed with Jake Burton, her teenage crush!

More surprises are in store for Caley when she discovers the reason for the get together isn't an anniversary party for her parents but the wedding of her sister Emma & Sam the younger son of long time neighbors, the Burtons.  The two mothers have always wanted a union between the two families laughingly called the Burtberts!

It seems the mothers may get their wish since Emma and Sam have decided to get married despite the fact that they are both only in their early twenties.  Are they ready to marry?  Both Caley and Jake are not sure Emma & Sam are ready for such a major step in their lives, should they interfere or let them go ahead?  As Caley and Jake try to help their younger siblings they also have to deal with the strong attraction they have toward each other.  Is it their time to fall in love or will they just be lovers for the short term?  Romance with its ups and downs, family and learning to trust your feelings.
