2007 Blogs
Hiya Lorie!
Lovin' the new site! Just one question - Are we able to access our old blogs from 2007? I wanted to double check a book on there.
Thanks!
NM.... I found my answer!
Thanks Lorie!!!!
Lorie, I clicked on Julz's link to "her" blog
and ended up at mine! So, how do we set up our links so that people can come to our "own" page?

Another question
Lorie, I'm a bit confused. (No comments from the Pnut gallery). Every time I change pages, I get a different font/color in the side bar. Some times Fake Frenchie is in red, sometimes in dark blue, sometimes in light blue. Sometimes the list under Fake Frenchie is like typewriter fonts, sometimes it's small and compact. I haven't changed anything.

Instead of asking all the hosties in the boards, I guess I should come here. Y'know- one-stop shop and save. lol
So- what's going on, or not, is that whenever I try to use the font color palette in a comment the 'preview comment' button blinks, but nothing happens. No color palette opens. My emoticons work fine. Also- I noticed that some of the others' profiles show how many posts they've made. Mine still says '0'. I was curious if this feature just takes a day to update? or will it update after I close the site and show them when I return?
Thanks. Liking the new site so far.

PINK!?!
Alright- I DID NOT pick a color. And if I had, green is my signature color, not hot pink. lol But, at least a color popped up. I tried to click on the color arrow and this is what happened, not that I ever saw a color palette to choose from still.

Re: PINK!?!
ROFL, Lisa ......... I think the pink is coming from Julz' signature ..... I think there must be an error in the font codes she used because the colour pink isn't turning off like it should and all the posts that follow turn up pink
I posted about the signature glitch to Jayne over in the Community 2.0 discussion thread ..... I've sort of been going there for my over all board issues and then posting to the Hosties if there's an issue on one of their threads ..... but I'm sure that concerns can be posted on any of the Hosties threads
BTW, to open the font colour tablet, be sure you are clicking on the tiny down arrow beside the A
EDIT ----- I see the error is compounded in Lisa's signature as well ...... now all font colours want to be green ......... Lisa and Julz be sure you have the close tag on your signatures </font> ... this should tell the system to revert to the default font for anything typed after ....... this is a definite glitch

whoa...easy on the eyes big fella!
In a sing song voice....Ok...someone's forgetting to close their font tags....
Someone, who shall remain nameless, LOL forgot to close their font tag in their seriously PINK signature, LOL, and it seems it made Lisa GREEN with jealously.
I'll go and fix em up!

colors not sticking
My colors aren't showing up in my blogs, comments, posts. I go into the color palette and pick the color i want and it changes the color in the text box where I'm typiing. but when I post to the boards, it defaults to gray. For example, this whole paragraph is supposed to be a teal green color
and this paragraph is supposed to be purple.
And this one is supposed to be gray. I know we had problems with that in the beta testing but smehow i got it working. Though now I don't remember how. I'm currently typing this in rich-text. But when i disable rich-text, it strips the formatting and shows all the html codes that are built in to make the blog look like I want it to. When I post from that format, it still goes back to the default color.

Ran into a snafu
Hey Lorie, I ran into a issue while trying to change my picture. I wanted to switch out the picture of BP as Santa Claus that I used during the Tire Kicking and I picked one of Rob's Skipping Stones. Then I changed my mind of which stone but every time I try to change it, I get the first stone I picked. I click on the little box for deleting the picture then add the new picture and I get the old, deleted picture back. I'm confuzzled.

How's this?
Ok Katherine- I got an email from Dee asking me to close my html (nice sing-song voice btw). I went in and somehow, I'm sure it wasn't like that when I went offline earlier today, but there was 3 </font>s after my sig line instead of one. I deleted 2 of them and I will log out of eharl and sign back in to see if that helps any.
And oddly, the color palette works on my home pc. Just not on my laptop? Weird.

Ok, since taking 2 of the tag closures off, logging out, opening a new browser, logging in fresh didn't fix it I went back in to my profile and took the green tag color off altogether. Now everything comes out in gray (even though I'm typing this in green right now) for me and everyone else I was changing. Hope this is fixed as time goes by.

No really, it's nice that you confirmed it for me. Unfortunately it's too late for most to avail themselves of the free book Friday with code perks, but I'll send the code out in the morning. I do have a fair bit of news to share with all the challengers.

Any way to go to new messages?
Hi Lorie,
With 2 of my dgrd's staying with us for almost three weeks, I've been tearing my hair out trying to get here and find my way around. I didn't do nearly enough tire kicking, so I'm just as far behind as everyone else. . .
What I'd really like to know is: when I go to a site (I have 2 marked as favorites, so far) it always takes me right to the start, to message #1. Isn't there any way I can adjust things so it would take me to where I left off reading, like the old boards did?
I surely hope so, 'cause I just don't have time to search for the new messages every time I sign in.
Oh yes, and one more thing -- If I order one of the new LI Historicals, do I have to order the other one as my freebie, or can I order a book from any other line as my freebie? I'm not big into historicals, but I do want Jillian Hart's McKaslin clan books.

Hey Katherine
My wrist is showing some improvement, thanks for asking.
I'm not sure what Isabel's plans are for this year, as she hasn't signed in yet. I do know she's joining us in the challenge again, so she most likely will continue to blog. Make sure to mark her among your favorites, and comment on her news now and then. I know she'd appreaciate it.

I'm interested in going thru the 2007 challenge blogs again, and have nooo idea where to find the link to "transport" me there.
If anyone can help, i'd really appreciate it. Thanx
I'm also curious where i could find the html codes guide here? yep, i'm kinda lost.

Hi Kathleen
I’m not sure you can access the blogs anymore, is there something specific you’re after? Perhaps I can scare it up for you.As for the html codes, we don’t have an html how to on these boards. We’ve had to disable most of the text functions until we can figure out some of the bugs.

Format for manuscript
Sorry if this has been asked before...
What is the layout for a manuscript for Harlequin/Mills and Boon? I have the guidelines for the series I want to write for, but I am unsure how wide the margins should be at the sides and top and bottom etc. Thanks!

Lorie, I ordered without the coupon code
Lorie, I was sleeping last night when I put my order in, and ordered my books without the challenge bonus code. As the order was printing off, I realized what I had done, but by then it was too late. I emailed customer service already, to ask if they can add it, but is there anything else I need to do to ensure that I get the discount?

Hi Donna
Offhand I don't think so, emailing customer service was the right choice.

I got the code and ordered books. This is probably a really dumb question.
I understand the mini challenge but what do we do with the list of books???
ELLEN TOO
A true teacher is a person who, at the end of the school day, still likes children!
Wow!!!!
What a mini challenge this one will be. I bet lots of us have to head into our tbr piles and plan this month's reading. I often ignore the challenges - too much work to write about the heroes or heroines and if I would date someone or my date would let me date someone etc. (oops long run on sentence there).
BUT this month, I figure the hallenge will be a great way to get me going into some of the older stuff in my boxes. Great idea and thanks for the code too! Hope yo are feeling lots better now, Lorie.

I am fine ladies, thanks
I am fine ladies, thanks for asking. I normally don’t mention the migraines, I am well used to them. I only wanted y’all to understand I wasn’t deliberately ignoring you.
Ellen, You can add the list in a blog entry. You can also put the previous book title and author at the bottom of your reviews, so that we can follow along.
Bonsal, thanks for sharing that you appreciated the challenge. I’m glad to hear it. I wanted something that anyone/everyone could do to start off.

Ready for the Challenge
Alright everyone. I am now ready for this challenge. Since I was already reading a new book, I have taken from the book and moved forward. I have developed my strategy and thank heavens for my tbr list as I now know what I am reading next and next and next etc....

I've linked up my first four books of the month......
(I'm reading book four now) .. so will have to figure out my next "moves" ...... I love this challenge as it's gets me reading! ... takes away the pressure of what to chose next LOL ...
you're right Lorie .. this is a great choice to get us started ... and maybe the reading numbers will go up up up!
