Hey Tammy, Thanks for sharing, I'll pass it on.

Oooh - Rebecca Flanders'

Oooh - Rebecca Flanders' Wolf trilogy.  Classic, was reprinted once already, but is some of the greatest werewolf romance ever written.  Especially Wolf in Waiting.  Paranormals are big these days, so I think these would be welcomed.

Wolf trilogy

Thanks Werefan, I'll add it to my list.

Sara Seale and Day Leclaire

I remember reading Sara Seale's "Folly to be Wise" as a teenager and laughing and loving it. Actually my Mum recommended it to me- It is a real feel good, sweet lovely book. I only read perhaps 2 others of her other books which weren't was as endearing as this but there are probably many other wonderful books by her.

After reading the Day Leclaire online read I bought her "The Royals" series and then started the hunt for second hand Day Leclaire books (which I am savouring and slowly treating myself to). The ones I haven't yet got are:Temporary Husband, Her Secret Santa; In the Market; The Miracle Wife; A Man for All Seasonings; To Marry a Sheikh; Jinxed;so yes I'd like these please . I loved "Once a cowboy" - so enjoyable.

I like humour in the context of the traditional type romance presentation and not in books with modern cartoon drawings on the front which puts me off immediately.

this is my quest-to follow that star..

Thanks Liz.

I've always loved a story that'll make me feel good.

Candace Camp & Sherryl Woods

Hi Lori!

I'd love to see Candace Camp and Sherry Woods older books available as ebooks.

Hi Melissa

Good choices, and you're welcome.

Prior RITA Winners and Finalists

I think that by the time this year's RITA finalists are announced, all the (finalist) books that were published by H/S will already be available electronically.  If not, I would say prioritize those b/c I know that in prior year's I've searched for books that were a year old so I could read all the finalists in a category.

But I would also like to see prior winners and finalists made available.  It would be a good marketing tool, esp. if the prior years' ones could somehow be bundled with this year's.  Or maybe instead of bundling just have a good sale.  Or maybe instead of having each one marked down, have a buy 2 (or 3), get the 3rd (or 4th) big% off -- kind of a create your own unbundled-bundle LOL.

I would like to see Allison

I would like to see Allison Leigh's Double C Ranch series especially the older ones as eBooks.

I should have been less specific than RITA

I should have said any of the major awards . . . like the RNA or the ones that the inspirational line might win (are those the Christys? can't remember) and any that they do Down Under.  Same idea as what I said above about the RITAs.

Award winners

Thanks Penni. (thought I'd said that, but I must not have hit post.)

Hi Lorie :)

There was mention over in the Writing for Blaze thread about some Temptations that were really spicey .... in particular a Kimberly Raye book

Can you ask for an eBook bundle of Kimberly Raye's Temptation Blaze trilogy that consisted of Breathless; Shamless; and Restless .... published Apr, May, Jun 1999

thanks!

Oh wow...

... what a fantastic idea!
I'd say Anne Stuart, but I have all her earlier books ~ after searching everywhere for a few years... but there are a lot of new readers that find her ~ and her older books are pretty darned hard to come by.

Oh, and Cherry Adair's Harlequin Blazes... man, after looking for a couple of years, I've only found one of them.

Barbara McMahon is another author that I'd like to have her older books re-issued... there are a LOT of the older ones that I don't have!

Stephanie Bond would be another good one ~ again I have all her older books (after much time and energy), but I love them and I think there are a lot of other readers that would enjoy finding them as well.

And for now those are the ones that I can think of... but if I think of any others.... Sealed?

Thanks Kathleen. Yes, Jennifer is another talent.

Medical Series & Betty Neels Early Books

Hi All:

I'd like to see more of the Medical Series books as eBooks -- I now have read all that are available and would read a dozen more. Any with "Outback" in the tile would be very appreciated.

I would also like to see Betty Neels first 10 to 20 books. I can get these, and have most of them, but I need the larger type of an eBook.

            Thanks my dream list.

                          Thanks,

Question

Okay, I'm not sure if I should ask this here or the other line on ebooks but I was browsing over at the Mills & Boon site because I was interested in wondering if Natalie Anderson's newest release(which has been released over there) might be available in ebook form, in which case I could then purchase it.  I'm not about to purchase the book over seas.

Unfornately it would appear they are just getting ebooks started... not up and running yet.  I guess I have a couple of questions with this... trying to understand how this is all working.  Aren't Harlequin and Mills & Boon the same thing?  I mean I know there are different branches of things and such but... anyhow, on the ebooks... is this something that we will be able to do from them soon?  Purchase them from them on their release dates?  Or will we have to wait until they are officially released over here? Will all the lines be available from either site then?  Or is that just too big?

Thanks in advance!

Cole, I got a reply. I'm told...

"At present we are not able to sell Mills & Boon titles as eBooks in North America because we do not hold North American electronic rights to the cover images.  Thus we have to wait until the titles are released in print in North America under the Harlequin imprint, with North American rights to the cover images.  Mills & Boon are hard at work on launching their own eBooks program, however, due to the cover image issue, North American customers may be restricted from buying the titles.  The good news is that Harlequin and Mills & Boon are both working to resolve the electronic rights issue by securing universal electronic rights to cover images moving forward.

Hope this helps!"

Thank you

Why Not Generic Covers?

Hi Lorie:

Why not sell "out of area" eBooks with generic covers like they do for classics on Sony? (See Bible illustration. Top left.)

How do you think readers would react to generic covers, if it meant they could get an ebook a year earlier?  I'd buy it in a minute!

      Thanks,

DIANA PALMER!

Hi Lorie,

I thought I'd posted here, but I guess not. I'd love love love love love to see all of Diana Palmers books -and her "alter egos." (Unfortunately, I am really not fond of ebooks at all. Ironic, considering I'm one of those tech infants/generation kids.) I'm trying to get all of DP's books (in print) - what a lost cause, right? I looked for the "Long, Tall, Texans II" anthology, and saw someone selling it for over $200! (The rest weren't that much - but still unreasonably priced.) No thank you!

Innocent I think there'd be a market for Diana Palmer's books - considering her book traders board- they're sharks there!

Aliquis ~ Thanks, and yes, I

Aliquis ~ Thanks, and yes, I agree, Diana Palmer is one of those must haves authors.

Two books

Hi Lori - I have two books I'd love to see offered in ebook format.  Both are books that I'd read the second in the group not realizing there was a first book.  I could go look in a used book store to perhaps get the books but I'd rather buy them in ebook format.  I'll just list them here and if you get a chance to pass it on, thanks!  Maybe I'll be lucky and they'll add them.  Smile

THE SHEIKH'S GUARDED HEART by Liz Fielding

GHOST OF A CHANCE by Nina Bruhns

Actually any of these authors' backlists in ebook form would be wonderful for me.  I just read one from each of them for the first time (the second books in the above series) and loved them.  So buying their books in ebooks would be wonderful!

Thanks!

Hi Kate. Ooh, good choices too.

I’ve copied your replies ladies, to go into my report.

Ooh... I don't know why....

...I didn't think of this myself, but Katherine mentioned that it's worth a try.
I'm reading through Christine Rimmer's Bravo Family Ties saga ~ and LOVIN' it! ~ and I came across one story that was released as an eHarlequin serial a number of years (?) ago:  Marriage: Overboard.  Now this would a fabulouse re-release... and while I've been able to find most of the earlier books in one form or another (Thank heavens for the Special Releases and the Signature Select reprints!!) I'm still missing some.

Is there anyone else that would enjoy having the entire series available?

New Author

I know, I can't believe it either. Aliquis isn't talking about Diana Palmer? Really? (Oh wait- I guess I just mentioned her Wink).

I'm sure I'll come up with lots more, but I'd like seeing some of Lori Foster and/or Nancy Warren's really old harlequin books republished.

Thanks Kathy.LOL

Thanks Kathy.

LOL Aliquis... you like Diana Palmer ? I'd never have guessed. Wink

Anne Stuart ......

Hi Lorie!

I'd love to see Anne Stuart's Blackheart books reissued ..... they are Intrigues ...

Intrigue #9 - Catspaw I

Intrigue #103 - Catspaw II

Intrigue #637 - Night and Day (this is a double Intrigue written with Gayle Wilson)

these stories are so hard to find and they are absolutely great ..... and the novella in the last one is a lovely treat for us Blackheart lovers

thanks!

PS ... these would be great in audio too!

Julie Miller

I know that at least one or two of us have mentioned Julie Miller's backlist (for me, it's her Intrigues as I don't read Blaze).  I'm bringing it up now b/c yesterday she blogged/posted the cover of her June 08 Intrigue. Which of course makes me think that if there's enough time (which I would hope that there is), it would be a nice tie-in to make her Taylor Clan series and the two Precinct Series available as ebooks (some of the Precinct probably already are ebooks) when this next series of hers starts.  A sale would be nice, too, LOL. I just think that it would make sense as people who discovered her recently (as recently as June 08 LOL) might like to meet the characters that we no doubt will catch glimpses of. And to just be able to get hold of her backlist.

FWIW,

Penn

Thanks ladies, for sharing

Hi Tammy.

Thanks, I'll pass it on.

Hi Lorie!

I just finished the Love Inspired Suspense mini-series .. "The Secrets of Stoneley"   .... I think it would make a great eBook bundle ...... there are six books by six different authors .... oh, and an online read by Lenora Worth .. "Shadows of Blanchard Manor" ... the online read really sets the tone for the whole series

I think as this line matures more readers are finding it ..... my Aunt only discovered it at Christmas, and she's hooked ....

this also would make a great Audible bundle ... maybe attract a different "reader" to Love Inspired Suspense ... esp. as romance does not dominate the story

Thanks Katherine.

I agree, they would make a nice bundle. Unfortunately there are no plans at this time to offer the LI line as audibles, but one can always hope.

Oh that's a shame Lorie .....

I think as Audibles the LI & LIS lines would have a wider audtience ..... esp. the LIS  ... a six book series like The Secrets of Stoneley might be a nice draw ... the books could be done as a two book bundle with 3 bundles to conclude the series

ah well  ... maybe some day
