One Name Leads to another ... Music ~2~

The Rules are very simple --

Type the name of a song with the artist who sang it using a word from the previous post..

For Example:

Can't  Stop This Thing We Started by Bryan Adams
Don't  STOP by Fleetwood Mac
Over My Head by FLEETWOOD MAC

Words that are not allowed are "the, and, a" to tag the former post. They are words that are too easy to use.

It's okay to add or take away "s" or "ing" from main words

All She Wants to Do Is Dance - Don Henley

Welcome Fortunato.  Unfortunately, your post doesn't fit.  You can either use the name of the artist or a word from the song to tag the next post.  The next poster will either use a Don Henley song or one of the words of the song I posted.  Hope you'll stick around.  Once you get the hang of the game, it's fun.

Where the Boys Are - Connie Francis

Amanda, don't know of that particular Fleetwood Mac song but then, I was never a big fan.  But since you're curious about your name, here's a couple things I know about it...

My Dad once had a Hostein cow named Mandy.  She had a few calves, gave a lot of milk but ended up going for slaughter when she wouldn't "catch" (wouldn't carry another calf).  She was around 8 yrs old when Dad shipped her out of the dairy barn.

Also owned a dog named Mandy.  A collie cross, we adopted her from Pet Rescue five yrs ago.  A sad case, she'd been horribly abused.  Had her for three yrs but she never recovered from the issues she came with.  She seemed to get worse all the time... like she figured it was only a matter of time before we beat her.  We had to keep her away from anyone who came around to visit.  Then one day, ds touched her head when she was sleeping.  It startled her and she pounced on him.  Mandy instantly regreted what she'd done and thankfully, ds wasn't hurt.   But the writing was on the wall...we knew we had to have her put down.  It was a very sad day in this house...esp when ds begged us to give Mandy another chance.

WHERE Is Love? (from cast recording of 'Oliver')--Denis Waterman. Not the Cockney actor by the sound of his little boy soprano voice.

On the Mandy topic. A friend once had a totally crazy Golden Cocker Spaniel called MandyLaughing

I Need to Know by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers

Bren, that's such a shame about your dog.  I can see why you put her down, but at the same time you can see why she reacted.  Why do people have to be cruel?  My mom has a cat who was abused, and you still can't touch her feet or pet her too long.  She'll lash at you for both.

I Want to Know What Love Is - Foreigner

Yeah, letting Mandy go was a real heartbreaker.  I agree, I don't understand why ppl can be so cruel either.  Your mother's cat is blessed to have found a loving home.

TIME After TIME--Cyndi Lauper

Don't think it is, Melinda. This Denis only has one 'n' and the date was 1993.  'Minder' was years before that, wasn't it? Dennis Waterman is in his sixties, I'd say.Undecided

Speedball Tucker by Jim Croce

Love this song.  Think of it most times when I'm out on I-95.  "He looked me in the eye as he was writin' me up and said, drive you've been flyin'.  95 is the route you are on, it is not the speed limit sign."
