Welcome to the Corral! Where the Gal Pal's talk about anything and everything. You can take a dip in the Hot Tub, try your luck on the Mechanical Bull, watch the boys show their stuff in the rodeo ring, take a rest in the bunkhouse or the hayloft, enjoy the water park and privacy cabanas or dance the night away in the barn. Got to go home now though and get some sleep. I've worked 14 hours already and have to be back at 2 am to work again! Worked 13 hours yesterday and 12 the day before. Wouldn't be so bad except they have been early hours like starting at 4 am!

I don't have a choice about work. We are shorthanded and we have projects that need to be done. I can't find good workers that will stick around. I have a few and we are all putting in mega hours.
Just got back from field sampling been working from 1 am to 8 am and have a few more hours here. Suppose to go home today, but I think I will fly tomorrow. I'm going home to my mom's or mon in law and go to sleep when I finish up here! I also could use a shower. I smell of fish and seaweed!
I would love to go on a retreat Aurelene!!
I better get back to work, got more news to tell you all about dh and surfer man but too tired right now.

Well I put in a 15 1/2 hour day today and I'm taking off tomorrow! I'm flying home tonight. I didn't make it back for the school board meeting, but I had too much to do!
Time is flying by. I'm going to head to my mom's soon, but I wanted to tell you about DH's injuries
I’m not sure if I told
I’m not sure if I told you all that DH hurt his back again. About 2 ½ months ago, his workers left a water hose on the ground instead of rolled up where it was suppose to be. DH caught his shoe in it, fell and hit a hollow tile on the way down. He scraped up his elbow and wrenched his back. He reported it to his employer. Well by a week later he could barely walk because his sciatica was acting up. For weeks he was in pain, taking pain killers and anti-inflamatory meds. He was worried he wouldn’t be able to go on the Kaho’olawe trip with the 8th graders, but it finally started to get better after about 6 weeks.

While on Kaho’olawe, he was cleaning the air filter on an auger. When he went to start the auger, it twisted and the rope wrapped around his elbow. His elbow immediately swelled up to twice its normal size, but he continued to work throughout the weekend though it was limited work. It took him 10 days before he went to the doctor then another 3 days before he got an x-ray done. He has an avulsion fracture. Basically the ligament detached from his elbow and took a bone chip along with it. So now he is waiting for a sling for his elbow. Meanwhile his back started to give him some real trouble again so he is back on meds. This is the same medication that caused his stomach to bleed when he was taking it about 10 years ago!

It's always something going on... I told DH we're just getting older and don't bounce back like we use too! It's time to start taking it easier... so I guess I am going to take my own advice and take tomorrow off since I have enough people to cover the work load for tomorrow!
Surfer Man graduates from
Surfer Man graduates from 8th grade on May 31. My nephew graduates from 8th grade on May 25th.
Surfer Man is flying down for the graduation (it’s also memorial day weekend) then both of us will fly back home on Monday evening. I will stay there the whole week and work from there.

Hey everyone
I'm at work using my patients computer.I was
trying to check email in bed using the webtv
and forgot I set my tv to record 'Smallville'.
I woke up and turned off the web for the last
20 minutes of the show. At least is was enough
to tell what's coming up next. Lex is getting more
and more evil.
I set my dvr to record CSI. Anyway,tomorrow is
payday. I'll get a Friday newspaper and see what
movie I can get to Sunday afternoon. Even if
I go to the cheap and raggedy movie house.
Papaya,you guys take it easy. Injuries are no
fun. I once fell on my bottom on the corner edge
of a cement step in the rain. I broke my tailbone.
There is no cast for that. It took a year to stop hurting. About 3 years ago I fell in the apartment
and came down hard on my knee running to
the stove to turn it off. My right calf doubled in
size. My leg stayed swollen for 5 weeks. THen I
had a new heavy growth of hair down the center.
I assume the healing meant that it was like a
hairline fracture. Since I'm single I don't have
anyone to work for me. I had to keep going.
I try to avoid any falls.
Its after 3am and my patient is trying to sleep.

Iron man was the BOMB! I grew up reading comics although I preferred the romances even then but my brothers bought them and being the word-a-holic I am, I read those too. I loved the movie. The nice part is that the movie was made and produced through the comics people so we will have more coming out now. This way they don't have to sell it to a studio who may or may not want to do another one.
I love the ending but guess I should have stayed throught the credits since there is a scene there that is a teaser for the future!
been out of it with allergies and trying to find the right meds to control the symptoms...sneezinf, itchy, itchy eyes etc. so far zytec zombies me out, and doesn't touch the symptoms, and the clariton is so-so...
Went to a Social Studies council meeting last night. Had a great meal and some even better conversation. Have missed touching base with you all and will need to back track to see what everyone is up to...catch you later, aligators

I have stacks of comic books all over my bedroom right now. I do not want to see a movie inspired by them. Rob had a brilliant idea of sorting his comics but of course he never finishes anything. I wonder how many times I will have to complain before he puts them back in the box.

Hi CF~ I hope that your weather gets better for you. We had a wicked storm here yesterday morning about 4:30 am, but we didn't get any damage at my house. There was some damage in a community just a few miles down the road, but I haven't been up there. In the county that I live in they have decleared State of emergency for it and five other counties in our state. Only thing we lost yeserday was our power plus some sleep, but I am more rested today. I slept good last night. Anyway not much other going on with me today so far. I hope everyone is doing good today. Catch you all later.{{{{{{{{HUGS}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}

Thanks for the B-day wishes Gal Pals. It was a holiday in France on the 8th and a holliday today so we took Fridays off and had a very long weekend. BBQ twice and lots of yard work. I think my face got burned. And I burned two of my fingers on a TOASTED MARSHMELLOW. Now I have blisters on both fingers, but it doesn't hurt anymore. Who'd have thought that toasting marshmellows was dangerous?
