waiting for

Maria Snyder's new book in her Poison Study world.

Is Mercedes Lackey working on a new Luna?  Or how about Catherine Asaro?  C.E. Murphy

Any new Luna's I buy will definitely be ebooks!

Lynne

Hi Lynne and all,

Penn butting into Sapph's thread b/c well it overlaps. And she and I were looking around diligently last night so I actually know the answers to some of these.

Maria V. Snyder's current release, STORM GLASS, has been available in the eBoutique since May 1 and in audio over at audible.com since Saturday. The eBook version is enriched, so that's exciting. :) Remember that Maria's books got moved over to MIRA, so if you were looking the LUNA section specifically, it didn't pop up.

I'm going to do another post on getting around a bit . . . give me a few minutes.

Some hints for searching in the eBoutique. Once you get to the eBoutique, you can go into the lines or imprints you love by using their specific drop-down menus. LUNA, for example, or "Silhouette" and then finding "Nocturne" in that drop-down.

Another way that might very well work for you all is to try the "eBooks by: Category" (under "Browse eBooks" in the right-hand banner) when you get there. If you select "Fantasy" in that drop-down, you'll get any books that have been marked as Fantasy, so you'll see the HQNs and the MIRAs that are Fantasy as well as the LUNAs.

I'm not giving you links not b/c I'm mean but b/c I can't get them to work when I've done a search. I'm very sorry about that.

Let Sapphire or me know if you have questions about getting around the eBoutique. Now, I can give you a link to "my" eBook discussion forum Wink

I know this is an eBook LUNA thread, but I'm curious about whether any of you do your LUNAs in audio? I do . . . totally hooked and it's how I found time to listen to the "Walker Papers" and the "Negotiator" series and the "Study" series and ummm I'll finally get around to the "Retrievers". I can't remember right now if I've listened to other LUNAs.

Penn, curious

FF is right mostly on the 6th Retrievers

It is available now as trade and eBook. It will become available in June at audible.com (in audio). They wanted to use the same reader for all 6 and to work it into her schedule they needed to delay the audio release a bit past the print and eBook releases. But it's still great news!

I love ebooks ....

I never thought I'd ever like them ..... you know there's just something about "holding, smelling, feeling" that book ... maybe it's the ink or the paper itself ... but it's addictive

I was rather shocked when a year and a half ago, I jumped into ebooks and found that I actually read a book much faster when it's digital ... maybe it's because I can set the font size to what I'm most comfortable reading and with print I can't do that ... these aging eyes!

okay .. so what does this have to do with Luna ebooks? ... just to say that since embracing ebooks, I've been branching out into new genres ... I'm not presently a Luna reader ... however, seeing the vast ebook library available, I'm willing to give them a try ....

so what should I try first?   Smile

Now isn't that funny? I liked Catie's (C.E. Murphy) second series ("The Negotiator") better. Not that I won't be jumping all over the 4th book in the first series ("The Walker Papers") when it comes out in a few months . . .

And while it's not LUNA (it's MIRA), I loved Maria V. Snyder's "Study" trilogy and its first book, Poison Study, happens to be 50% off in both eHqn bookstores this month, so you can "taste test" it for a really great price.

I'd also recommend

Catherine Asaro's Lost Continent books - Think the first one was her novella Moonglow included in the 3 in one by Mercedes Lackey/Rachel Lee/Asaro called Charmed Destinies, followed by The Charmed Sphere.

this is great! i just

this is great! i just purchased the product last week. ia havent read it yet because im so busy with work and kids.

It's not LUNA, but it's by Rachel Vincent -- Right now, an eBook exclusive prequel to Rachel's upcoming "Soul Screamers" series is available as a FREE eBook in our eBoutique. Rachel's new series will be part of the upcoming Harlequin Teen imprint, and you'll be able to get her first Harlequin Teen book, My Soul to Take, in August.

I don't know which community members will be most interested in this series, but I thought y'all might be, so I'm telling you firstLaughing. Spread the word and please let Saphhire and me know what y'all think if you read the story!

Penn

Edited to add: PS -- your best/fastest way to find the book right now in the eBoutique is to search in the "free form" search field by the title: My Soul to Take.

You know, I almost put a PS

You know, I almost put a PS to my first post. I don't do links to the actual search results in the eBoutique b/c I have had horrible luck with them breaking. I hate to ask you to click so many times . . .

Right now, the fastest way to find it is to search in the "free form" search field for "My Soul To Lose" and it should come up (it did for me, anyway). A slower way -- but a way worth knowing about -- is to search for Rachel Vincent and then when her books pop up, click on any of them to get to the detail page, then click on the "quick link" of her name and then all her books do actually come up. I've sent Jayne an email about that quirk.

Let me know either way if it works or not, just so I know for sure.

Cast in Silence

HI Everyone,

Cast in Silence is now available in ebook format !!!

Bopping in real fast to tell you all

Not sure where the best thread is to let you all know that some of the backlist LUNAs are in the eBoutique now and there's a coupon code if you buy a certain $ amount. Here's a bit of the blurb:

Get backlist eBooks you can't find anywhere else! This month, enjoy
books by popular authors like Penny Jordan, Judith Arnold, Suzanne
Brockmann, and many more! Stock up now and save an extra 5% when you spend $10 or more—that's a total of 15% off! Use coupon code BOOKSHELF2 at Checkout!

We should have all of the backlist LUNAs in the eBoutique by December 1st. The Camelot books by Sarah Zettel won't be there b/c Harlequin doesn't have the eBook rights, but the rest should.

Anyway, let Sapphire know if you have questions (or come see me in the Alternative Format Forums),

Sarah Zettel

posting here asw ell as the other thread, in the same places Penn posted her update. :-)

I don't want to post the link here unless hosties say it's OK since this isn't like the usual talking about Amazon or wherever we buy our books but...

Sarah Zettel is self-publishing and selling her Camelot books in eBook format. She also self-pubbed the 4th book (I think it was 4th. At any rate, it's the one that was supposed to come after those she had out with Luna before they changed directions for the line) and as far as I know it is still available though I bought it probably almost a year ago now.

Just wanted to let folks know there IS a way to get Sarah's books in e. Last time I checked, it was only the previously unpublished book and the first in the series available but she does intend to release all of them through the same website. If I remember correctly, there is even a special short novella linked to the series available (but don't quote me on that).

As an aside, the site she's working with is all done on a "volunteer" basis by folks in there own free time. So their newsletters aren't always consistent in being mailed and sometimes it may take them a few days to reply to e-mail messages, but they DO reply. And they do have quite a few special feature shorts available. Maybe some ful length stuff now but I've not checked in a couple months at least.
