Just Caught the show
I just caught the show a few days ago on Space TV (this is a TV station that is dedicated to showing Sci-Fi/Fantasy shows and movies).
I love Christina Cox. I always like her work. I still remember her in F/X TV series. She is a beautiful and talented teactress.
Love the fact that it is shot completely in Toronto and that it is taking place in Toronto.
Please say it is not cancelled. Just when the show is getting good.

I have seen...
very few of these....but I have read The Blood Books (the books that the series is based on). What I have have seen so far is good, but I like the books better.
But they are so different, they could be diffferent series.

Blood Ties is not dead yet.
Hi all, I just wanted to let anyone interested know that Blood Ties, as far as I know, is not cancelled yet. It is in some kind of limbo.
There are a bunch of fans, me included, trying to keep this great show on the air. If you go to the Lifetimetv.com site and click on Blood Ties going through all shows there is a blog there that people are using to talk about the show. There is also a site, http://www.bloodtiescentral.com/, that has the information of what people are doing to save the show. And if that is not enough for you there are many, very good, fan fics out there to read from people keeping the characters alive.
We would appreciate any help you all would like to give. Thanks.

Blood Ties update
After reading the comments on Lifetimetv at the bloodties blog it seems a few of the ladies there were told when they called lifetime that the show is definetly cancelled now. Everyone there is still pulling for blood ties as it is being shopped around to other networks. You can continue to vote at the different sites and the ad in Variety is still going ahead. Right now the blog about Blood Ties is still working on lifetimetv and they have started a new site at 'everythingbloodties.wordpress.com'. There is also another blog at TV guide: http://community.tvguide.com/blog-entry/Laceyms-Blog/Blood-Ties-Fan/8000...
Some of the bloggers from the site may start using the bloodlines site also.

It is indeed awful that they cancelled both Blood Ties and Moonlight. I was just starting to like Josef a bit more, even though I thought Blood Ties was better, and in Moonlight they were going in an interesting direction. At least Moonlight ended in a decent place. Poor Vickie was crying and had just been left by both the men she was interacting with in Blood Ties. What a rotten place to leave a series.

ever watch Invasion? I still haven't forgiven the networks for how they ended that show! It's why I try to only watch established shows or wait till reruns.....

Never saw Invasion.
Another sci-fi show I loved that got cancelled this year was The 4400. I loved that show, and there was never a hint that it was going to get cancelled until months after the season four finale, when everyone fully expected a season five to come out. Grrrr. That show had so much plot potential, they could have went on for 8 years!

Closure needed.
Even if they had to cancel the show for some reason I wouldn't be as upset if they could at least end it at a decent place. A tv movie or just some kind of special wrap up show. Although some of the fan fic's I have read do a very good job with giving some decent endings for the characters on BT. I hadn't heard of Invasion or 4400.

They finally get original, unique and intellegent shows on television and they kill them.

Not only get a good show, Terri, but keep it on the air. TPTB don't give new shows much of a chance, good or not. All the networks are getting on the reality show bandwagon. I think it is cheaper to produce but they stretch them a bit thin in quality on a lot of their tries.

Journeyman, too -- I don't know if anyone watched that, but it was wonderful. I could almost predict it would be canceled -- it was too smart, and too interesting -- you know, if it's not canned comedy, then it doesn't stay on the air (unless it's cable... really, where the best programming is anymore...).

Land of Cancellations
I watched journeyman as well and enjoyed it. When I heard it was cancelled it was after their last episode (which I missed). This year was awful in that I watched more shows that got canned than any other time before. Side Order of Life (Lifetime- and I liked it), Mind Over Matter (which I would have stopped anyway probably), Moonlight (nice and growing more on me each time), Blood Ties (by far my favorite), New Amsterdam (interesting beginning), and Bionic Woman (not sure if I would have stuck with all of them). The upside in all that is now I don't have as much to compete with reading at night.
