The Prayer Room 3

I feel like I need a change.. been working for the same company for four years in two states and while I love the company, the management leave a lot to be desired.  Please pray that if God is leading me elsewhere that I hear his voice...and that we find a church home.

My fiance loves his new job, but he's making half of what he made in the old job...so he needs prayer, too. It's hard when you feel you need a change, K, especially when you love the company and just feel bad about the management. Keeping you in prayer as you seek the Lord's will in this!

We haven't heard anything about the x-rays, so we're guessing it probably wasn't pneumonia, or surely the doctor would have called to say something...wouldn't he? Thanks for the prayers.  Still no updates on our young cousin.

Thanks for the prayers, everyone! I think if he passes his 90 day mark, he will get something of a raise, which will help. 

Praying finances improve for Mom & me, too. Our 30-minute oil change turned into a 4-hour overhaul, and $39 into $900. I hate to see what the credit card bill will be next month. Praying the Lord lets me make some money soon. I'm thinking of starting up selling things on ebay again. Maybe I'll link it to my Facebook... Only those verses about the Lord providing have kept us going! We haven't gone hungry, and we're thankful.

 

It really was discouraging because we were trying to figure out how to afford other things we needed, and then this...but it's the only vehicle we have, so we need to keep it in as good condition as we can, and we're very thankful we didn't break down on the road. We appreciate all the prayers!

Hope- I empathize with you on the repair bill.  Few weeks ago I blew a tire on my car and since I have all wheel drive (which I love to no end) tires are a pain!!  You can't replace one, rarely can you replace two- it's usually all four. Only 17,000 miles on them and had to replace ALL 4 tires.... $600 later.  Obviously God thought those tires needed to be changed and I'm sure this winter it'll prevent me from having an accident.  He will provide- just keep believing.  These two verses came to mind as I was thinking about you- maybe they'll bring you some hope or comfort.

Merrillee.. I didn't see the posts about your friend in a coma... have there been any changes?  How is the family doing?

Merrillee, I am praying for you friend as well as her friends and family. I know how hard this can be. My cousin was in a car accident and was in a coma for a long while. She is doing great now. She has lost some use of several nerves, and has some slight brain damage. The accident was several years ago and today she goes to witness to youth groups about how God pulled her through and helped her. She is our families miracle.

 Hope, I hope everything works out for your fiance. As I am praying for his job, your finances, and your mother. How is she doing these days?

 Kimberly, I am praying that you find a new church home. I am also praying for your job situation.

Hello all. I apologize with not coming back for the longest-but all I can say is that I have kept all of you in prayer while gone. Jordan (dd1-the only one) cut herself again so I've been going through...she's going to a college-prep high school and it's demanding...and she's going through it so bad I'm considering taking her out. I have to call our assistance program to get Jordan some help ASAP. Me? I can't seem to stay composed. I want to cry all the time, but can't do that at work-and in front of her. But God. You all know what I mean? But God. That means I have God to help me. He will send his Holy Spirit to come and comfort me. And I thank God  always for all of you. I want to make a concerted effort to come in the Prayer Room like I used to. We need prayer-because prayer changes things! And we all need Him for healing, restoration, and some power! God bless you all. I missed all of you!

I just prayed for y'all, especially about the person who is hurting herself and the one with throat cancer. 

I have two right now, if you don't mind adding me in:

1. My husband's brother is going through a really big rebellion stage and nobody knows where he is right now.  He took off and hasn't shown up for a couple of days.  He's probably just handing out with a friend, but his mother's very worried. 

2. We're about to buy a house, and we're short about $1000 for closing cost, etc.  If we sell the car we've been trying to sell, we'll have enough, so please pray that it sells in record time.

Adrienne, dear friend, God will be with you and Jordon. I hope she is doing better now.

We got a phone call this morning from my dd's dr. I took her there last week because she has been complaining about joint pain in her knee and it isn't like her to complain. X-rays were good but luckily, the dr. also ran some blood test on her. That is what the phone call was about. Andrea has Lyme disease. She will be on antibiotics for at least 4 weeks. She sees him again in 6 weeks. However, one of the symptoms of lyme disease is inflammation of the heart so I had to call her heart specialist and he wants to do an EKG on her next week. As best as we can figure she must have been bit by a tick during camping this summer. She never had the bulls eye looking bug bite or rash. If the antibiotics don't work and it becomes chronic lyme disease, I don't know what that will do to her heart. It scares the crap out of me so please add her to your prayers. Kim

I've been away for awhile but have been praying for your requests. I thank you for your prayers for my family and situation. I'd ask that you continue to pray for my business - God has given us the responsibility and opportunity of helping the people in our community to become healthier and I pray that He continues to suport us in that - and for my husband as he is away at a Cursillo this weekend (a form of a retreat). It is his first retreat and I'm so excited for him! I could also use prayers that I can stay calm and anxiety free over the next few days. Bless you all!

Keeping you in prayer! I've heard lots of good things about Cursillos. Back in So. Cal., I used to see lots of De Colores bumper stickers, and our cousins told us that was from Cursillos. Wonder if they'll do the Spanish in Canada... Praying he has a totally blessed time, and you, too, even though you didn't get to go this time. Helping people to stay in health is a wonderful calling, and I know the Lord will bless you with it! That's our prayer!

'EEEEKKKK' that's all I can think of at the moment.  My husband retired in April and after a few months of badgering we got all the kinks worked out for our military health insurance... only I think it's going to be very bad news for us.  They left the catastrophic cap at the active duty level not retired ($2000 diff)...he was in the hospital in June ($25,000 bill) and my physical therapy office hasn't been charging me my co-pay since mid Sept... so I'm concerned that we may end up owing $2000 on last years catastrophic cap (military changes fiscal year on 1 Oct) and several hundred at my pt office.

I know if this happens God will help me find a way to figure it out.... but if you could please keep this in prayer... thank you so much!!  May God be with and bless all of you!!

as-well-as-the-new-company-that-is-in-charge-of-our-building.We-all-got-envelopes

this-past-week-telling-us-the-owner-of-our-building-was-taken-to-court-for-not-paying

the-mortgage-on-the-building.The-bank-won-and-a-different-company-is-managing.

We-have-to-address-our-rent-payments-to-another-company.The-manager-said

the-court-said-since-this-is-a-distressed-property-she-had-overcharged-the-amount

of-rents.I-would-like-to-get-my-own-house-however-I-don't-have-the-money.I-know

God-can-make-anything-happen-at-any-time.If-he-wants-me-to-move-he-can-provide

everything.Please-pray-that-whoever-did-this-will-be-found-out-and-punished.Also,

if-the-Lord-wants-me-to-get-a-house-that-all-the-money-will-be-provided-to-get-the

house-and-to-move.

on our young cousin. She and the baby are still hanging in there, but need LOTS of prayer for a safe delivery. They're still a long way from security in the baby's survival, so please continue to pray for them both. Her mom is standing strong for her, and we are too. I know how frustrating it can be when you don't feel like your home is completely at peace. Praying that this house stuff gets resolved quickly!

 The insurance thing didn't turn out as chaotic as it looked to be.  All of his stuff is fine... just mine and thankfully out of pocket expenses for me are less than $400... much better than $2000!!!

Tonight is the last night of our revival. The youth department will be back, as it's their regular AWANA night, so please pray. The evangelist said last night he could feel some that need to come forward resisting the call of the Lord Sunday night. I know what he meant, because I felt it, too. Please pray with us, that the Lord will have complete control of the service, that we the musicians will bless people's hearts, and that no one will leave without taking the Lord with them. Thank you!

Mom is still having issues with that eye. Please everybody pray the Lord will complete the healing. We're facing another week of rain, it looks like... Please pray that the rain will hold off until Sunday night late, so we can make it both times tomorrow! I'm scheduled to play the offertory (violin) along with our pianist. They do have backup music in case, but we'd really like to go. Thanks! The weather bureau is even threatening us with snowflakes by Tuesday! It was 78 degrees today! Unreal!
