I waded through tons of messages since I was gone all last week.  Hugs to Nell, MB and Jodie I think...and high fives to at least Christyne.  Hopefully I didn't leave anyone out. 

And I'm doing copy edits for my Jan book so I shouldn't be here.  :-)

So anyone here who missed the who-rah on my blog...I gave up publishing( not writing, but the submission/rejection rollercoaster. At least for a while) this morning. And everyone gave me their undying support.

But here's the clincher, as a joke I threw out with the last line, "but if an agent offers me represenation I might reconsider"

So you see where this is going?

Anyway, I'm minding my own business, the burden of publishing is off my shoulders. I get a strange e-mail from an agent stating my ms is on it's way to NAL. It's addressed to "Melissa", so now I'm thinking I've lost my mind. When did I send an agent my ms? Heck, when did an agent request my ms?

I let the agent know that is absolutely fabulous, but she's never received my ms. I don't mind if that's what she wants to do, but I think the situation is problematic since I'm not signed with her. She apologizes, we laugh it off, but now we are trying to figure out how she got my e-mail addy. I queried, but can't remember if I got a response.

On the spot she askes for my query. I send it to her. Five minutes later she wants the whole shebang.

 So my advice to you ladies... Give up publishing. Just kidding.
