Hello??? Anybody there?
I may be lost, but is this where we request CPs now?
I'm looking for a CP who's interested in SH LIs or LIHs.
I love the new format. Can't wait to poke around some more later.
CP
Hey Wolfe! I'm interested in any reading material I can get my hands on. I'm looking for a CP as well. I usually write paranormal romance and fantasy romance, but I dabble in a little bit of everything, as I'm not one specialize. I prefer to write whatever suits me; It's very dependant on my mood.
Let me know if you're interested.

I'm not really into the "erotic" romance genres at all, I'm strictly inspirational (which means very conservative and non-explicit). I might not make a good CP for work that emphasizes the "desire" stuff. But let's talk.
Maureen (mmmmmm6) and Wolfe...
Wolfe, I apologize, but I'm afraid I won't be able to critique for you. I feel it would be unfair to both of us if one of us is getting a full critique and the other is only getting a partial. I do wish you the best of luck finding someone suited to your needs.
Maureen (mmmmmm6), I posted this to you in the Submission Care Group, just in case you stopped in there again, and here hoping you would see it.
I'm looking for a CP as well. I haven't been able to find one in my area (Oahu) and have been told that this is a great place to find one. I love reading, am supportive, and have been told I give a solid critique. If your interested, let me know.

Can anyone look at my medieval?
I'm not too sure how this works so I'll just post :)
I'm looking for a critique partner since in my critique group, critiquing another person's chapter does not gaurantee you'll get a critique in return, and sometimes you have to wait nearly two months, though to be fair it wasn't always like that and I have gotten some great help with my book, but I think they've all forgotten about me and no one's telling me if my story just got boring or not.
My novel's a medieval, complete and half way through the second draft, and takes place in 1311, but I enjoy reading paranormals and regencies too, if anyone has something they'd like me to look at I'd be glad to help out.
my e-mail is a_rosko@hotmail.com if anyone is interested. Thanks

Critiquing partner
Hi:
I'm looking for someone willing to do a trade. I have something written that I would like to have an objective eye look at. My poor husband has been subjected to it thus far picked out a few things, I've listened objectively and been going through editing.
This is a very heavy erotic sci fi fantasy fiction story taking place in three worlds. There are angels, demons, vampires, and many other mythical creatures. It's something that should probably be within your comfort zone. A lot of limits are pushed. I have to say this up front. I am aiming for Spice.

HI Corinne,
I'm looking for a CP also. I write Erotic Romance and write in paranormal/urban fantasy genres so the vamps, mystical creatures, fantasy elements don't bother me. I have one novella published and another about to be release in Feb. Heavily erotic, steamy, sexy and sensual writing doens't bother me. I'm also aiming for Spice.

Looking for a CP as well.
I am looking for anyone that would like to critique a Historical but it would be steamy in some places. I could critique historicals or modern romances. I'm not really into sci/fi or full blown erotic. I have never critiqued before so are there any guidelines we should follow other than to be respectful?

Hi everyone:
I am looking for someone who would like to trade a quick but thorough edit on a story that is up to 15K words. I have one for an anthology submission. I'd like for someone interested in checking out the guidelines to read my story and do a critique. I in turn will do the same for you on any short story you'd like to trade.
If someone is interested, please drop me a line at corinne.kell@gmail.com
Thank you!

Looking for a CP!
Hi all, I am currently working on 2 books. These are targeted to the SuperRomance Line. I have several ideas for more in the future, including even some paranormal. It will be a long while before I feel comfortable enough to embark on those. If anyone is interested.. I only have the first 2 chapers written on one of them.. I am looking for someone to bounce ideas off of... and to just talk about writing to. I have been in cp groups before, and know how the process works. I feel comfortable with almost any genre. Please feel free to email me if you are interested. My email is sassymystic@yahoo.com Thank you and I hope to hear from you! Donya

Looking for a critique partner?
Hi, there:
I'm new to the forums and looking for a potential critique partner. At this point, I'm about 20,000 words into my Superromance-targeted manuscript and, although I'm nervous about showing it to anyone, it feels like it's time to take the plunge.
It may help to know that, in my working life, I am an editor/writer for a trade publisher, so I analyze and suggest changes to the work of other writers every day. (Most of them are economists, so it's pretty dry stuff... romance would be a nice change!)
Sooooo... if, like me, you're looking for someone to provide thorough and honest feedback, please get in touch.
Cheers,
B. Dee

Historical CP wanted!
I'm writing historicals and hoping for a critque partner. I'm in the UK and use British English, just in case that's a turn-off for anyone! All those crazy spellings....my latest is almost a Regency, set around 1800 but I do other periods too.

My expertise in critiquing isn't much but I'm willing to learn if anyone wants to exchange. If u have a few chapters ready I'd be glad to give it a whirl. Let's talk. :)

I would like to have a critique of the couple of contest entries I've submitted to Harlequin. It would be nice for someone who has won or published - but any one who likes the critiquing process would be most welcome.

Critique partner for erotic romance
Hi folks,
I'm new here so my fingers are crossed that I do this right. I'm looking for a critique partner for erotic romance aimed at the Spice line. My main strengths are characterization, plotting, POV. My main weakness is grammer. Oh, and those pesky commas. I work fairly quickly. I've had epubbed a futuristic and have recently sold a romantic suspense and m/m historical to an epub.
Would love to have an open, honest exchange with someone. Having been on the receiving end of crits designed to damage (and I have a thick skin), I offer honest opinions and suggestions along with pointing out what I think works. If interested, please email me at alvania8196@msn.com.
Thanks!

Harlequin Presents.. offering feedback
Hey Melissa, I'm a pretty hardcore fan of Harlequin Presents books,
I've read at least 1000 probably! I am not a writer myself, so it wouldn't be a symbiotic partnership. But I'd
give your story a good solid read if you wanted and follow up with you. I'm probably more
likely to be critical than glowing, but it would be constructive. If you want my feedback, email me at janet85@gmail.com
Melissa and Janet
I sent you an email, Melissa, if you are still looking for someone.
Janet, that sort of reader critique is worth its weight in gold. You may just find yourself inundated with requests to read! I would love to have you give my current story a going over before I submitted it (that's a long way off yet, I'm only just starting the first draft!).
Because we all deserve a happy ending!

I have a finished manuscript that was aimed for the Intrigue line and was hoping to find someone who would like to critique it for me. Looking for critique partner/s
Hello everyone. I'm currently editing a WW2 romance, writing a SciFi/Intrigue, and plotting a Scifi romance as well. I think I am an overachiever, but that's okay the world needs more of them I think. I'm looking for critique partners who are willing to tell me where the plotholes are. I use Australian/English English, just get that one upfront. I'm not really into erotic stuff, I'll leave that to Anna Campbell and the like. I am willing to critique/read through/edit in return. I am determined to get published, having already published one short story, I'm now polishing up the first manuscript to send away. I have a very good sense of humour and don't take offence easily. Hello World
This seems like a good enough place to introduce myself:
I'm MathChick, MC to those who prefer shorthand. I write for the same reason many of you do, I have stories banging on the inside of my skull. Though I suppose my ultimate goal would be to be published I think that would serve more as an affirmation of skill than anything.
I started my first long story (I refuse to aspire to anything other than a finished story at this point. If I call it a 'book' I may break out in a cold sweat) a few months ago, right after my first daughter was born. I want to finish it for the sake of finishing it. And I want it to be good so that I don't have to delete it from my hard drive in shame.
My problem is that I'm writing into a vacuum. I know no one IRL who reads the genre. And my lack of confidence in my writing prevents me from handing it to anyone whom I would have to face the next day. I know where the story is going and I like it but I am starving for feedback. I can see the quality of my work fall off as I forget that I am writing for someone to actually maybe read this one day. I am looking for someone patient who is willing to read a partial story and wait for pages (though I don't mind if the person badgers and stalks me until I barf up progress). That someone can be mean, harsh, curse at me, call me names...as long as the criticism is honest and hopefully constructive.
I know the whole story front to back (It's a boring old Contemporary Romance). Making up these stories is my aresenal against insomnia so I go over them every night. But I'm not sure how well I've articulated it.
Now enough about me. I would love to critique someone else's work. I read really really fast (with good reading comprehension if I do say so myself), I love to offer my opinion on just about everything, and I am getting sick of yelling at black and white words that the east cost is three hours AHEAD of the west coast who on earth wrote and edited this stuff?! I would much rather calmly let someone know before such mistakes are published. Not to mention I have read every romance worth a darn of any genre in paperback at my library and the only reason I haven't done the same with the next closest library is because I was saved from utter despair by a donation of 30-50 books from some nice patron with good taste ;). I would love to read someone's work rather than resort to something depressing like the newspaper.
I fully intend to read more than I manage to write. My daughter is 10 months old, my husband is in school [and just broke his arm], and I travel extensively for my job. Not to mention in my persuit of the ever ellusive pre-baby body I spend the 30-60 minutes of personal time daily exercising. But I think that the instant gratification of having someone to write who will actually read it will encourage me to find a few minutes here and there.
Sorry this has gotten so long. Luckily this is a forum of readers and writers so I'm sure there are one or two that have the tenacity to have made it to this part and might even take pity on me and offer me reading material and someone to bounce a few pages of my own off of.
Looking for partner or group - MC, you interested?
I am looking for
partner, or even better, a few. I love to edit, to write, to read,
but even though I have written a lot I have never written series
romance before a few weeks ago! I started a new job at a bookstore
and got caught up in the stories. Now I can't stop witting, but I
don't think I know enough about the series themselves. I through a
four year literary art program, and I would really like someone that
i could push to keep going and who could push me. My email is

me!
Edited to add: I can't seem to figure out how to respond to comments from other people, so if MC is still looking to find a partner, I am up for it! And Janet, I will be emailing you.

Janet85, I am doing a quick edit to make sure I didn't leave any partial thoughts hanging, but if you don't mind I'll send you my partial story when I send it to JJ to get your take on it.
Until the next time, ladies.
I'm open to doing
I'm open to doing critiques, but I do hope that the WIPs are for a line that I read: Presents, Desire, Blaze, Nocturne. I don't know if I'd feel comfortable giving a critique for a type of book I don't naturally read. I feel like I know the Presents line inside-out, since I've read over a thousand HPs, and I could tell an author exactly what I would want as a reader of that line. I haven't read a thousand of the Desire, Blaze, or Nocturne lines, but I still know what I like in those lines and could give feedback.
If you send me your WIP, tell me what line you are aiming for, so that I go into it knowing what to expect of the book. And I'll gear my feedback towards what I know about that line.
Mathchick
Hey mathchick, I started writing at 2am last year while I was breastfeeding my newborn twins... needless to say I learnt to touch type one handed... it was quite interesting to say the least. I'd be interested in reading what you've got so far. I'm not that good with all the different lines there are, but on plot and grammar etc I'm pretty good.

New Partner
I am looking for a Crit partner who is interested in Desire. I am working on polishing my submission for the pitch. I will look at other genres for sure but would prefer to keep it in contemporary category (superromance, etc) since that is what I am trying to pursue.
I would like to work with someone who is very serious about writing romance and even if they have a crazy schedule wants to make some time for the craft. I hope to find someone who can be a friend and in the future we can enjoy a glass of tea of lunch and talk about our next bestseller.
I look forward to hearing from those interested.

Hi everyone. I'm still pretty new here. And still exploring!
I've been writing for a couple of years now and was referred here by a fellow article writer over at Associated Content. She read the current Chapters of my new novel and urged me get involved here.
I have up to and including Chapter 20. The thing is, I'm used to writing short stories and articles, but this is my first romance 'novel'. And in need of suggestions to keep it going. I am aiming at the Steeple Hill Christian series. So, any advice in bringing in more Christian content into it would be a great help!
I'm also really good at proofreading/editing and critiquing other writer's work as well. I've done it for other friends/authors. I would love to work WITH a fellow CP.
Thanks a bunch!

Hello, Tiff. I've been lurking at this thread for a couple of months now. I wasn't actively looking for a cp but I definately wouldn't shoot the right one in the foot if he/she showed up. I write almost exclusively paranormal of the spicier variety. I have a full ms in with Nocturne right now.
I'm definately willing to give it a try if you are.

Is there a light at the end of this tunnel or do I just have tunnel vision from staring at the computer screen so long?
New here: looking for a cp
Hi,
I am an unpublished wannabe. I have a completed manuscript I thought might work for Desire or Harlequin Presents that I would love to get critic on.
I am working on another ms, I just have the first chapter done but I did not start long ago. The idea I have for this one is that it should be the first of 6 books about one family and the outlines that I have for the family really seem to run the gamet. I think this one might be SSE or American Harlequin.
I have not done much critiquing myself but I am excited about the idea of giving it a try.
Anyone interested?

Hey Keren, I would give a read through and critique for you if you want. :) I've never done one before, but I read TONS of the Presents/Desire line. Janet, with that commitment I think people will be knocking down your door trying to get you to read their manuscripts. But honestly 100 a month? Where do you get the money to buy all those books? The mind boggles and then what do you do with them when you're done?
Cheers

Natalie.... ebay and
Natalie.... ebay and kijiji! I buy older books in bulk and get a real good deal, especially on the kijiji orders where I can avoid shipping. My local library is a network of libraries in my city and has most of the new books in the lines I read. Mmmmm! Love having connections to loads of books. I am branching out and trying different books I'm finding at the library. Branched out into paranormals and went a little crazy reading all the Nina Bangs, Angela Knight, Amanda Ashley books I could get my hands on. It's probably good that I have the libraries because I'm overrun with boxes of books as it is. I got rid of a dresser in my room to fit a second bookcase in, and my closet is huge and filled with boxes piled high.
Though really, I don't expect to keep up the 100 a month rate! I feel like eventually I'll have to slow down, my poor tbr pile....
Keren, I'll check my email!

Janet, wow, well books are great, I tend to give them away to friends. I've got a few girlfriends hooked on Barry Eisler books, he was a CIA operative who now writes action/assassin types. Quite a good read if you're looking to branching out. Think JT Wilder from Don't Look Down (Crusie/Mayer authors) without a lot of the sex (although he is adventurous in that area).
When you finish with the other manuscripts you get sent I'll send you mine to have a read over if you'd like. It's always good to get another opinion.
Libraries are great, I couldn't live without mine. The head librarian is a good lady and she keeps an eye out for me with new books etc.
