Submission questions for a podcast

Birgit Davis-Todd and I are going to do a podcast next Tuesday morning about how to submit a manuscript. Naturally, we both took vacation tomorrow and Monday! :) So we hope to be able able to remember our jobs on Tuesday. Still, we've got some things to talk about, but if there was anything you thought must be convered, do drop a comment and we'll see if we can work it in. And if not in this one, Malle has threat... er  persuaded us to do another in a few months and we might cover it then (or just answer here if you were kind enough to post and actually want an answer to something!).

So drop a line if there's something you think newbies should know/do, and lets see if we can make this as painless as possible for all concerned.

 Thanks--and happy reading!

All Updated...

And the nice thing is that the listening feature has been fixed. If you use the pulldown bar, you can listen to any of the previous podcasts. (I'm listening to the series as I type!)

Sorry Dee, can you tell me

Sorry Dee, can you tell me which pull down bar you are talking about?

Seems , I have gone temporarily blind.

Thanks.

read my blog

Nah, you're not blind.

Scroll down the page to the bottom of the Meet The Editor's page. Look for these words:

Don't Miss These Meet the Editors Episodes!

Beneath then is the pulldown bar and the Go button.

Hope that helps!

Thanks, Dee!

That sounds wonderful.  I have a little trouble with most podcasts (being on dial-up), but they're worth the effort of stop-and-start listening.  I'll have to make time to do this!  Cool

I have them

and all the author podcasts downloaded on my iPod, so I can listen on my way to work.  There is nothing to make a long drive go by faster, or to get the muse humming in my ear, like a good workshop CD or editor or author interview!

Coool!

I need to get a hold of the new one and listen! Next baby nap!

How do we download them to an iPod?

Hey Trish...share your secret? (I know, it's really easy, right?) Wink

It really was easy

hold on. I have to think a minute and remember how I did it....

OK, click on the link at the top of the page that says "this month" It will take you the podcast page.

At the bottom of the page are boxes where you can choose to subscribe to the author or editor podcasts using different methods. Choose "iPod" and that should take care of it for you.

See, it was easy. Cool

LOL

But you're the one with the spreadsheet (color coded) that details where you're going, when you're going, and what outfit you're wearing, down to shoes and jewelry.  I just take all black pants and maybe two pairs of black shoes.  Matches everything, so I don't have to worry about it, 'cause too many details makes my head hurt. Cool

Okay, I subscribed to the Podcasts...

via iTunes but it only downloaded the "Blaze" one...how do I get them all?

I'd love a podcast on the historicals, too.

I've listened to all of them.  Thanks to Michelle Styles for pointing them out to me, because I had no idea they even existed until then.  There's still so much that I'm learning about the site.

Christyne

in iTunes, go to the Podcasts icon, where your podcasts are stored and click on it.  That should open all the podcasts your are subscribed to in the window to the right.  Each podcast your are subscribed to should have a little arrow-like thingy that looks sorta like this >, only filled in.  When you click on it, it will open a list of all the podcasts available under that subscription.  From there you can choose to get them all, or just the ones you want.

Hope this helps and holler if I confused you. It's still early here. Laughing

Thanks Trish!

That was totally clear...downloading them now!
