This Week's Author Sponsor is: Carol Townend!
Carol Townend was born in Yorkshire in the north of England. Because her family’s roots can be traced back at least as far as the fifteenth century, she likes to think she might have Viking ancestry. Certainly from yeoman farmer stock sprang a great-grandfather who founded woolen mills in the horse-and-carriage days of Queen Victoria. Other forebears were on visiting terms with the Brontë sisters who created Jane Eyre and Mr. Rochester, and Cathy and Heathcliff. All Carol’s stories, however, regardless of setting, champion a phrase first used by Virgil over a thousand years ago. In Latin it reads: Omnia vincit amor—Love conquers all.
The member with the highest count by Friday will recieve a book from Carol! Remember, you have to post your totals daily to be entered--even if it's a zero--AND you can only win once, so keep those totals coming!
So here we go, folks. Starting November 1st: Ready, Set, GO!!!

Thanks Dee. That's sorta what I'd hoped to do. Just trying to juggle the +/- of the count. :)
Scratching the above numbers now that I'm done for the day; here's the new days' totals. First/last/fave line remain the same.
Beginning today- total wc- 60173 Total wc today- minus 222 Ending total wc- 59951
Ridiculous, but that's what edits do-- And I am sooo not a mathmatician! Take away from too high a wc and add more back until it all balances to the total (50-55K) necessary to suit HAR.
Hopefully I'll get better counts tomorrow on the ten hour drive to brother's while dh drives. Otherwise, my total for tomorrow will be zilch with "Hi. How are ya?"s going on once we get to Illinois.

Kind of frustrated here.
Kind of frustrated here. I need to write 1K a day for 30 days to meet my goal of finishing the first draft of my Romantic Suspense. Thing is, I just found out I'm having guests for 4 days in the middle of the month, and then I'm off to Costa Rica for a week over Thanksgiving. Okay, I might write in CR, but no way with guests. So, I'm trying to double up and do 2K a day for now.
It sooo wasn't flowing today. I did slop some stuff down though. I figure it can be edited. Words on the page are what we're doing here.

“Big bad wolf or king of swords?” Hamilton retorted and then winced at his amused grin. Oh, well. Much better he think she was flirting than realize she considered him a possible player in Celestine’s tarot reading. Not that she took too much stock in the tarot. What shook her the most had been the terror in Celestine’s voice.

Day 1 Emma's Outlaw
A good day but being Sunday with church, family lunch, etc, I didn't get started until after 2pm.
I'm trying to pick the most effective way to show my totals. I don't think everyone needs to know that I started with 25,000 words. What everyone wants is to see is if I'm making my goal. So, I've subtracted the 25,000 from the 90,000 required and came up with a goal of 65,000 words needed to perfect the novel.
