Forever, Actually by Karen Templeton
As a temporary receptionist at the Armstrong Fertility Institute, Megan Carter certainly isn’t expecting to find romance at the office. And after a painful divorce, she’s not looking for a relationship anyway. Though she can’t help but notice a gorgeous man accompanying one of the patients—fortunately, he’s only an uncle-to-be! Imagine her surprise when the same man turns up for a family dinner, courtesy of her own matchmaking older brothers! It’s too bad Russ Michaels doesn’t seem too fond of children—after all, Meg’s got an eighteen-month-old daughter.
Russ Michaels likes order in his life, so "professional temp" and single mom Meg is the complete opposite of what he needs. Or is she…?

Dating With Kids with Harlequin American Romance Author Meg Lacey
First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes babies and...sometimes comes divorce.
Let's face it, real life is sometimes stranger than fiction and statistics show that there are a lot of single parents out there trying to find somebody to love. But how do you do manage to find time to date when you have demanding jobs and kids? Even if you're happily married, we've all been there. You know the days when you wish it were legal to duct tape your kids and stick em in the closet...Join us this week as we discuss this very thing with Meg Lacey, whose new book is just about the things I asked you about. She'll be holding a contest, but I'll let her share that with all of you.
About the Author:
I first discovered romance in the sixth grade when I wrote my own version of a classic civil war novel. However, my writing career didn't last. Instead I went into theater and studied acting and directing for my bachelor’s and master’s degrees and, finally, ended up in television as a writer-producer.
Over the years, I've also dabbled in a few other areas. I've been an actress, director, copywriter, creative dramatics teacher, mime, mom, college instructor and school-bus driver (and wow, are there stories in that experience). I’ve started two creative marketing and media companies in the Midwest and worked in all media, from network cable programming to corporate initiatives, but through it all, I've always returned to writing. I’ve written for Silhouette as Lynn Miller and for Harlequin Temptation and now I am thrilled to join the Harlequin American Romance family.
I have three funny, mouthy, independent daughters who are now all married and creating chaos in someone else’s life. I also have two little grandchildren and a wonderful husband. Guy is my true hero—he's survived life in a house with four women, two female cats and a female dog and can still remember how to tie his shoes. Without his marvelous sense of humor, patience, encouragement and support, my life would be very different.

BATCAVE 19: BAT DAME RETURNS
The Bat Dame thinks there's a need in the community to have a place, besides SubCare, where writers can go to moan and whine in the darkness. A glum place. A place to feel subdued, humbled-by-the-process, hopeless (not that SHE feels this way).
So lower yourselves to the deepest, ugliest pits. Only then can you be uplifted to superhero status (aka published). For darkness can't exist without light, hunger without satiation, sadness without joy, despair without hope. Here is the place for the equal and opposite reaction.
To new bats, we understand the cave is a confuzzling place. Bats speak a furrin language, say and do the opposite of what they mean - they unwelcome new folk, unhug each other )))like this((( and sound as if they are completely crazy. Witch they are.
Howsomever, it's a good kind of crazy. The kind that supports and helps other bats through the bad times, and razzes them through the good times. Bleeds and prays for hurting bats, cries with sad bats, and suitably chastises happy bats. Got all that?
Posting smilies, cleaning the cave and letting in sun is against the spirit and purpose of the cave. We need dark. We need gloom. We can't get it anywhere else. Nor can we beech and moan anywhere else.
This is our cave-from-home. So make yourself at cave here, beech and moan about your writing and your life with the rest of us, and before you know it, you'll wonder how you got along without bats. Or we got along without you. All unclear now? Ungood. Fwap in and pull up a stalactite.
Hard Question For The Day
Ok, I need some help. The first Harlequin book I ever read was about a ghost on an island and a woman that lived in a house on that island. He could not go up to the houes. She had to go to the beach to see him.
If I remember correctly, he was shipwrecked.
I was around 10 or 11 and it was in the 80's. I am trying to find that book.
Does anyone have a clue which book that was?

About the Author
Michelle Willingham wrote her first historical romance at the age of twelve and was delighted to fill up eight pages of a legal pad. As her binders of stories grew, she was convinced that one day she would achieve her dream of being an author. Thankfully, most of her early stories have been destroyed and are unavailable for blackmail.
She attended the University of Notre Dame where she thought about studying medicine. Since Michelle passes out at the sight of blood, she decided that this was not a good career move. She studied English instead and graduated summa cum laude with the idea of becoming an editor. Her first part-time job involved editing mortgage handbooks, which sent her fleeing back to graduate school for a degree in middle-school education. Michelle taught school for eleven years before retiring to stay home with her children and write full-time.

Historic Costume
The purpose of this thread is for specific costume questions.
If you want to know if a silk dress in the middle ages is realistic or not....
What colour should who where when and to what.....
Did one wear a hoop while helping with the laundry....
Black leather breeches sound great, but did they really have those?
Or any other clothing issues....here is the place.
Enjoy!
