A Very Special Delivery by Linda Goodnight (Love Inspired #349)

This is a very touching story about forgiveness. The ending might have been a little too dramatic for my taste, but it didn't keep me from enjoying the book.

Linda Goodnight is a wonderful storyteller and I'm glad to have more of her books on my tbr shelves.

Susan Wiggs doesn't allow her readers to keep their distance. As she knows how to write a very emotional, touching story it is easy to trust in her writing and to enjoy her lovable characters and the portrayal of small town life.

Distracting the Duchess by Emily Bryan (Leisure)

I expected more. The era is interesting and well researched, but I never felt it. It is suppose to be a sexy historical. I didn't see it. There is lots of sex, but it isn't sexy.

Lucy gets Her Life Back by Stef Ann Holm (Mira)

I liked Lucy gets Her Life Back even better than Girls Night.

The story: Lucy Carpenter leaves behind the big city to offer her kids a better life. In Red Duck, Idaho, she wants to work as personal chef. Not as easy as she expected, but then local celebrity baseball star Drew Tolman shows an interest in her.

Animal Lust by Lacy Danes (Aphrodisia)

Four stories in one book, all about the Ursus brothers and the women they mate with. Lots of sex, but nothing pushed my buttons. Not badly written, but not very interesting either.

I haven’t read a historical in months. I used to love Karen Hawkins’ novels, but this one isn’t her best.

No Lady by Saskia Hope (Black Lace)

This is one of the best Black Lace novels ever released. A wonderful combination of erotic romance, suspense and adventure. A strong heroine, some very shady characters and lots of hot sex (multiple partners). The book doesn't have a traditional romance plot, so don't expect it. And some of the sex is definitely not PC. But the pacing is great, the story surprises and the ending is satisfying.
