HIDE & SEEK by Alyssa Brooks

Good God this was a trainwreck. This book was just beyond silly. It's listed as
an erotic romance but I found it more a comedy and I'm pretty sure the author
wasn't going for that when she wrote the book. Here's a list of just some of the
stuff that went on in the book...

SHADOW MUSIC by Julie Garwood

Garwood was one of the first romance authors to hook me on romance novels. I
love her style of writing. Even though this one was not as good as her older
historicals, I still enjoyed it. It was more sweeter than her other books and
the hero and heroine didn't meet until about 100 pages into the story but
overall I liked it.

LIFE ON THE REFRIGERATOR DOOR by Alice Kuipers

A friend sent me this one and I started it and finished it within a couple
hours. Told in notes between a mother and her 15 year old daughter. Not a
tearjerker like I expected but I did tear up at the last page.

PHANTOM WALTZ by Catherine Anderson

Anderson writes such emotionally charged stories. Another keeper for me. I love
her writing. I loved how Ryan went out of his way to make things easier for
Bethany so she could see that they could be together. Very emotional in some
parts so have the tissues at hand!

SURRENDER TO THE HIGHLANDER by Terri Brisbin

This was a quick read for me. I've been eager for Rurik's book since I read about him in TAMING THE HIGHLANDER. This was much sweeter in tone that her previous books but overall, I liked Rurik and Margriet.

WICKED by Sasha White

Had heard talk about this one on the blogs and lists I'm on and decided to give it a try. Wasn't what I expected. There was a lot of game playing at first because the heroine wasn't about to give in to what the hero wanted from her. Then once they did get together, she had a stalker after her. The reader knows immediately who the stalker is, but the baddied was never confronted at the end.

I loved this one...heroine was the hero's secret mistress...he didn't want anyone knowing that he was sleeping with one of his employees so he had "rules" No press. No pets. No kids. No rings. So she leaves him once she knows she's pregnant with his baby and he then has to work at getting her back. He couldn't understand at the beginning why she just up and left him.

Although I do have a couple of her books under another name in the TBR, this was my first read by this author. It was pretty steamy and a complete page turner for me...once I started it, I couldn't put it down until I finished reading it, stayed up the night I was reading this until 4am.
