Prisoner of Tehran
Every now and then, I like to sink my teeth into autobiographical stories. Gaining an insight into other people's lives is fascinating or in this case, slightly horrific.
It's a story of courage, faith and self-belief, and raises questions of what we'd do to survive when faced with insurmountable horrors.
Her One and Only Valentine
Trish creates another to-die-for hero in Kane.
Quite simply, he is delicious. Funny, intelligent, tender, caring...this guy could seriously be any girl's dream Valentine!
Daisy's Back in Town
My first Rachel Gibson book and I absolutely loved it. Will definitely be chasing up her backlist.
Daisy returns to her hometown with a secret and it isn't long before the sparks fly between her and the hero Jack.
A gorgeous book, with characters that leap off the page and into your heart.
Mounting Desire
This book is a hoot!
Jack is a successful Regency romance author and a born again virgin.
Molly is a sexaholic, moves into his house as a boarder and takes up erotic writing.
Loads of laughs.
Bigshots
I'm a fiction gal but every now and then I like to sink my teeth into a juicy non fiction book and that's exactly what Bigshots is.
Written by a journo, it's a behind the scenes glimpse of Melbourne's gangland wars. Absolutely fascinating, riveting stuff.
Step on it Cupid
The only other Little Black Dress book I'd read was by Julie Cohen (and I loved it) so recently bought 3 and have had them on my TBR pile for a while.
Drop Dead Beautiful
I haven't read a Jackie Collins in years, though I have read most if not all the Lucky Santangelo novels.
This book continues Lucky's story...a few interesting subplots, the requisite sex and money and famous people...built to an interesting climax but the resolution was a letdown for several of the plot threads.
His Mistress, His Terms
If you enjoy a sassy, feisty heroine like I do, you'll love Merrow in this book. She's great!
Throw in one very sexy hero, who really is pretty close to perfect and the story moves along at a cracking pace.
The Soldier's Homecoming
If you love emotional reads, run out right now and grab a copy of Donna's book.
This is a beautifully realistic story of a single mum raising a daughter, and a scarred soldier returning home and trying to deal with more than a phyical injury.
It is a sweet, sigh-worthy, satisfying story, packed with emotion, emotion, emotion! HIghly recommended.
Kiss An Angel
I'm a huge fan of SEP. She's my favourite romance author and there are very few of her books I haven't read.
Kiss An Angel is one of her older books and while I loved the circus plot the marriage of convenience angle didn't work for me.
The heroine Daisy developed nicely while the hero is suitably scarred and very, very alpha.
