It Never Gets Old

I sometimes wonder if the good things in life will ever fall flat. Life gets so busy that the good moments can pass you buy. Well, this morning I got up and felt downright chipper. You have to know me to understand mornings are never chipper. But this one was different.

I'm so not complaining.

Blue Blazes...Well, really They're Red

The 10 Blazes I've ordered have already arrived. Like I do most books I read the first few pages and see which one grabs me. * I wonder if this is how an editor reads *

Here's the list:

A Sexy Time of It by Cara Summers

Nightcap by Kathleen O' Reilly

Lethal Exposure by Lori Wilde

Up Close and Personal by Joanne Rock

THE END

I finished my novella on Friday. It's currently at 29k. I've already gotten my first critique back and the only issue is that the hero didn't grovel enough. I tend to agree. I was worried this story would totally suck, but its starting to look like I'm no longer a good judge of character when it comes to my books.

So now I have three routes to go:

TOP 5 SIGNS: You Are Avoiding a WIP

1. You've been blog hopping all day.

2. Just because you've been stalking your e-mail account.

3. You get a brillant idea of starting a series. Though you never wanted to write a series.

4. "Hmm, I could mop again" actually crosses your lips.

Just Ordered 10 Harlequin Blazes

I'm calling it research. Yup. I'm totally sticking to my story.

That is all.

So Close, Yet So Far

It's something about the last 10,000 words of a book that I just want to lock myself in the room, turn up the music and finish the darn thing already.

Harlequin Blog Bash~How I Got Roped In

S5001378.JPG

My post for Harlequin Favorite moments is approaching fast and furious. It's to go up on the 16th, so I figured I'd tell you how I got roped into doing one.

WRITING CHALLENGES: Do they Really Work

30kin30days.png

I've joined a writing challenge where I write 30k in 30 days.  Before I've joined NaNoWriMo. Along with the 70 days of Sweat. They've worked for me to a certain extent. I usually finished whatever ms I wanted to complete, but never make my word count. I'm just starting to think I'm succint when it comes to stories.

Why I'll Probably Never Enter A Contest

Outside of the Ritas, I don't think I'm ever going to enter a writing contest. I was reading some of the rules and how to enter and what to turn in....My brain started to leak out of my ears.

I think I'll stick to submitting:

Query

Synopsis

Partial

SASE

Good story

And you're done.

TITLES, UGH

Desertedisland.jpg

I'm gearing up for this weekend's BIAweekend. I plan to have completed the first three chapters. I've worked on the synopsis and blurb. I've researched what I've needed and even have pieces of dialogue and extra conflict because of it.

Now all I need is a title.

UGH.
