I recently discovered Ernest Gaines and now I could be easily categorized as a groupie. I didn't know what to expect from a male author and from the southern setting. Yet from beginning to the end, he draws the reader in with subtleties. Long before the bad guys show up, he creates the tension that is held through the end.

John's Quest is a Christian romance with very deep, inspirational elements in a complex story. The "hearth and home" values embodied by the characters can be enjoyed by anyone regardless of their personal salvation.

Julie Leto's style is fun and easy to read. I really liked Marisela and her kick-butt style to life. There is a hot, steamy edge to this suspense. The Latino characters are rich, complex, and fun to read about with their quirky views on life. Julie has shared a piece of Spanish and hispanic history and life -- and I'm the better for it.

This an interracial erotic romance by Kimberly Kaye Terry.  Loved it!!

Lisa Jackson had me hooked with this sequel - Almost Dead, although I didn't read the first one.  I love the beginning where someone who everyone thinks is in a coma is aware, but can't communicate.  Immediately the suspense starts and it doesn't stop with murders, suspicion, and a strong underlying romance.  Loved it.
