playing catch up

I'm so behind! At least I have a new faster laptop from which to write my tiny book reviews.

I've hit 29 books so far this year...woooohoooo!!!

Sleeping with Ward Cleaver, #16

I first heard about this book in Writers Digest. It was a contest winner. Ienjoyed this story and I really liked the characters; however, the language left something to be desired. I don't think I'm a prude, but good grief there was a LOT of not-great language in this book!

The Book of Dead Birds, #15 of 2008

This book is quite literary and very sad, yet still has an optimistic tone. Brandeis is an amazing writer. I really enjoyed this book.

Death of a Six-Foot Teddy Bear, #14 of 2008

This is the second in Sharon Dunn's Bargain Hunter Mystery series of books, and I enjoyed it MUCH more than the first book (which I found to be sad). More comedy in this one! Sharon Dunn is an author to watch out for!

Strange Bedpersons, #13 of 2008

I picked this up at the library and enjoyed it for the most part. It's a cute story with a twist that I was proud of myself for figuring out just before the heroine did! :) It's also my first Crusie book, and won't be my last.

Someday, #12 of 2008

Someday is the third in the Sunrise Series, the final series about the Baxter family. I jokingly call these books "Christian Crack" and I'm only halfway kidding...they are amazingly addictive! I love them all, and if I actually kept each one, my house would be more overrun with books than it already is!
