Masquerading Mistress

Truly a wounded hero. I loved the way neither hero nor heroine ever gave up. They knew they had to deal with each other, and they kept trying--rather than standing on false pride. Truly satisfying and enjoyable.

Notorious Rake, Innocent Lady

A great, fresh take on escaping a forced marriage. I loved the wounded hero and found all the characters complex, yet lovable. Really enjoyed it!

Too Late to Say Goodbye

Definitely not romance. A true story about a guy who refused to be ignored. He killed a girlfriend and a wife before getting caught. A well-written story, but it sure reminds me why I love a happily ever after.

Trouble in High Heels

So, I was reading another book, but had to do some car-wait time. I'd left the other book at home, but this newly delivered one was in my car with the rest of the mail. What could I do, but start reading?

Sleeping Murder

This is a comfort read--my copy is over 20 years old--but I keep going back to it. I love a story with a hint of the impossible that has to be explained. Gwenda comes back to England before her husband to buy a home, and then finds herself knowing things she can't possibly know about the home she's bought. That includes the location of Helen's body in her front hall. Gwenda has no memory

The Greek Tycoon's Unwilling Wife

I love, love, love Kate Walker's books. She's always an autobuy for me. Her Rafael's Love Child has always been my fave, but this one may have taken its place. Talk about a wounded hero. Andreas is a perfect Presents hero, vulnerable in unexpected ways, but Alpha-at-all-times. Becca, while still carrying hurt from their past, finds compassion enough to help him. And, cherry on the cake
