Things really heat up in this Anita Blake series from Laurell K. Hamilton. If you haven't read this book and you love paranormals, you should give this one a try. In this book, Anita is juggling two boyfriends - one a werewolf, the other a vampire, along with trying to keep herself alive since someone has put a price on her head. This is an awesome book!

The Gossip Queens

Fabulous book! I loved the ladies in this novel. All three women, Mercedes, Doris and Rose are different ages but the best of friends. They are all trying to deal with their own problems while being there for each other. They are known as the Gossip Queens in their town and know everyone.

The Healer

Excellent book! I could not put this book down. This author is a great story teller. She really knows how to grab the reader's attention. Jonah Gray Wolf can heal animals and people and has always been a loner. He makes his way to West Virginia hoping to find a job and ends up meeting Lucia Andahar who changes his life.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It was wonderful from beginning to end. It was very heartwarming and made me feel like they were my group of friends too. I laughed in some places and cried in others. Georgia Walker and her knitting group is a story that you won't soon forget. This is definitely on my keeper shelf.

I had a little trouble getting into this book at first but after a few chapters it started taking off. There are going to be eight books in this series. There are eight brothers who are four sets of twins and each of them will have their own story. This book is about Saber who is the eldest of the brothers.

Sandwiched

I thought this was such a good book. I've never read a Harlequin Next book before and I'm glad I gave it a try. CiCi Dupree is a fun loving main character. I especially loved her mother Belle, who comes to live with her. CiCi's teenage daughter Erin is a challenge for her and her ex-husband likes really young women. CiCi has a lot on her plate but she proves that she can handle it.

Body Heat

This book was such a quick read. Jake Lowell's sister Rina hires Brianne Nelson to live in her house for the summer and help her injured brother with physical therapy. Unknowingly, Jake is asked to house sit as well so both Brianne and Jake are stuck with each other. They both discover that Rina was trying to do some matchmaking and decide to have some fun while it lasts.

The books in the Anita Blake series just keep getting better and better each time I read one. This time Anita has to raise a graveyard of zombies for a client while dealing with her own love life among other problems. Excellent read!

Always Dakota

challenge_name:

The last book in the Dakota trilogy. I couldn't wait to read this one to see how it ends. Ms. Macomber ties everything up nicely in here. This book is about ranchers Margaret Clemens and Matt Eilers. Margaret has been in love with Matt for quite a while now even though Matt has never given her a second glance. These two face a lot of challenges if they are to be together as husband and wife.
