These books have been around for years and are still around because they are so well loved. Blair Chandler is a fiery beauty who wants nothing more than to be a doctor.

This is the second time I've read this book. I read it over 10 years ago and loved it. Jude Deveraux is on my automatic buy list. This book is enthralling and I so enjoyed it even after all these years. The book is set during 1892 and the hero, Kane Taggert, is a man who is rough around the edges. He meets Houston Chandler and knows right away that she's the lady he wants.

The Rancher's Inherited Family

I really enjoyed this book. I finished it the same day that I started it. It's a short book but the author does a great job of putting all the pertinent details in and giving the book a happy ending. Brad Logan and Sarah Brownly are characters that draw you in and make you feel like you've known them for a long time.

A Girl's Guide To Vampires

This book was humorous and fun to read. A good book to pick up if you like your paranormals on the lighter side. I especially liked the little twists in the plot. Joy Randall and her best friend Roxy take a trip to the Czech Republic and things get quite interesting. Joy meets the handsome Raphael who is hiding secrets but whom she can't seem to stop thinking about.

A humorous and lighthearted paranormal. I can't wait to see what other delightful stories this author comes up with. In this book, Clair Frankenstein is out to follow the success of her ancestors and prove that there really are vampires. Namely, one Baron Huntsley. Despite all her breaking and entering skills, it's going to take a lot more determination to prove her theories.

Hidden Deception

Elena Jackson's shop keeps getting broken into and in seems someone will stop at nothing to get whatever it is they are looking for. Daniel Stillwater is a detective who tries to find the killer and protect Elena. This was a quick book to read. I enjoy mysteries and the author draws you in right at the first chapter.

Night Falls Darkly

I thought this book was a refreshing change from the paranormals that are out there. It has a unique spin on Jack the Ripper and hooked me in after reading the prologue. This is the author's debut novel about the Shadow Guards and I'm anxiously awaiting the next one already (which isn't due out until next year).

I normally don't read westerns but I happened to win a contest by this author and thought I would try some of her books. I enjoyed this book more than I thought I would. I really like strong female characters in the books that I read. The heroine of this book, Skylar Daines is a very tough and courageous woman whose father has passed away, leaving her to take care of her younger brother.

Grits and Glory

All you need to enjoy this book is a love of suspense mysteries and faith. This book really hit home since in my part of Texas we got hit with Hurricane Ike. This story focuses on Ann Trask who is in charge of the church's emergency shelter and Sean Miller who is a camerman for the Storm Channel. They both get stranded when a hurricane blows threw town and the fallen steeple claims a victim.
