James, the Duke of Alvord, had been drinking with his friends.  The next morning he wakes up in an Inn and finds his friends standing in the open doorway and laughing at his naked state and the strange woman next to him. 

This is a wonderfully drawn world.  It is rich in detail without becoming bogged down.

A definite must read.
