Halfway through the year and not nearly halfway through the books I want to read! I don't like seeing so many on my TBR shelf that I haven't started yet, but I also don't know what I'd do if (horrors!) I ran out of books to read. That is just inconceivable! Hope you are having a terrific summer!

So many books, so little time...
Bachelor Boss
This was a fun read--at times I laughed out loud at the antics of Lucy Sutton as she tried to get over Carlo Milano, her girlhood crush. And Carlo had such a time keeping "just friends" with his old girlfriend's little sister. Those Italians--dark, brooding, passionate--gotta love 'em. Lucy was the perfect foil--blonde, fun and trying to keep things light.

Wild Hunt
Wild Hunt is a welcome sequel to Unbound, Lori Devoti's first story that takes place using characters from Norse mythology. Venge, the hero, wants to kill his father for wrongs he believes his father did to him. On the way to his goal, he is helped and hindered in turn by a Valkerie named Geysa who he ultimately falls in love with.
Soldier Surrender
Soldier Surrender is a fast-paced story about an ex-special ops soldier who must learn to trust again in order to save a woman from his past. In the process, Gray also learns to surrender to love. Katie will do anything to save her son from her abusive ex-husband and must rely on Gray's wilderness smarts to help her.
A Reason To Live
At the end of the Civil War, Nurse Laurel decides to take the last words uttered by the soldiers that died in her care to their kin. When accosted by bandits, a man named Creede saves her. Creede has been looking for his son. He decides to travel with her and slowly they both help each other through their grief and fall in love.
