#40. Witness by Susan Page Davis. A Love Inspired Suspense book from Apr. 08

challenge_name:

The last time Petra reported a crime someone died.  This time someone was already dead.  "I saw my neighbour murder his wife."  So where did the body go?  And why didn't the police believe her?

#39. Hidden Motive by Hannah Alexander. A Love Inspired Suspense from Apr 08.

challenge_name:

Sable's grandfather had been murdered.  And she was next on the list.  So why didn't she go to the local police?  Why run to the family's isolated Ozark home?  Wouldn't that make it easier for the person after her to succeed?

Paul was Sable's friend.  He also believed her when she said someone was after her.  But now they were after him, too.

#38. MIA: Missing in Atlanta by Debby Giusti. A Love Inspired Suspense book from Mar. 08

challenge_name:

Jude didn't know what he was getting into.  He was looking for someone he'd known briefly 6 months ago.  He was shocked to discover her last known address was a homeless shelter not far from "prostitute alley".

Sarah worked at the shelter.  She didn't have anything to do with anyone male -- ever.  So why did Jude's plight have her trying to help him?

#37. Her Unlikely Family by Missy Tippens. A Love Inspired book from Feb. 08

challenge_name:

Michael was guardian to his orphaned niece.  Then she ran away.  Josie took her in.  But as soon as she saw Michael, she refused to allow Lisa to go back with him.

Josie had gotten to know Lisa in the few days they had been together, and she realized that the uptight, straight-laced banker was not what Lisa needed at this time in her life.

#36. Heart's Haven by Lois Richer. Love Inspired book from Mar. 08

challenge_name:

Heart's Haven is book #2 in the Pennies from Heaven series by this author.

Cassidy had been asked by Elizabeth Wisdom to come and cook for 6 months at a new outreach mission that was opening in Chicago.  It was the dream of Tyson's sister, who was dead, and he was guardian to her son.

#35. Without A Trace by Nora Roberts. Silhouette Special Edition 1988

challenge_name:

This is book number 4, and the grand finale of the O'Hurley series.  This is about the brother to the triplets.

Twelve years ago Trace had left the family performances to "see the world" as the saying goes.  In twelve years he had not been back to see his family.  They didn't even know where he was.  Or if he was even still alive.

#34. Skin Deep by Nora Roberts. Silhouette Special Edition 1988

challenge_name:

This is the story of Chantel, third book in the O'Hurley series by Nora Roberts.  She was the first-born (so somewhere in the series it probably tells what order the other two were).  She gave her mother more trouble than her two sisters put together -- and it lasted well into adulthood.

#33. Dance to the Piper by Nora Roberts. Silhouette Special Edition 1988

challenge_name:

This is book #2 in the O'Hurleys series.  It is Maddy's story.

Maddy, the middle triplet (I think -- I'm not sure we were ever told what order they were born in.  If we were, then I've forgotten) is a wonderful dancer and performer.  She meets Reed in the middle of an attempted purse-snatching -- her purse being the one attempting to be snatched.

#32. The Last Honest Woman by Nora Roberts. Silhouette Special Edition from 1988

challenge_name:

This is a 4-book series about the O'Hurleys -- triplet sisters, and an older brother.  I was lucky enough to find all 4 of them at the UBS in town.
