Regan Reilly's father, Luke and his driver, Rosita are kidnapped Dec 22.  Regan's mother Nora is in the hospital with a broken leg.  Regan gets a phone call demanding one million dollar ransom.  Luke keeps trying to tell Regan clues of where they are.  Regan finally figures out the clue and finds them only after the ransom of money has its flops.  But they are all reunited in time for Christm

This book is continuring on the sister hood series.  We again have many of same charachters returing.  And adding some new ones.  I am kinda getting bored/tired of these book but find myself following the series since I have not missed a book.  I guess this is not a great book review, but then again, it is hard to review without spoiling for others who want to read.

Travis McCoy is a photographer who comes to Cut Corners, Texas to visit his uncle.  His uncle however has other plans for Travis, like asking Vivian, who operates the town mercantile to the harvest dance.  When Travis says he won't be in town that lone his uncle advises that the town wants a picture taken of everyone.  In order to take the picture Travis must stay in town for a couple of weeks

Anna Campbell arrives in Cut Corners Texas to tell Erik Olson that the two small children in toe are his brothers children.  And she was to have Erik raise them. 

Book 2:  Lacey comes to town to help her aunt Mille run the diner after aunt Millie broke her arm.  The small town of Cut Corners, Texas soon decides they need Lacey to stay on and help Millie, maybe teaching Millie some of Lacey's tricks!  Lacey is much better cook, in fact the diner actually runs out of food and closes early the first few days.

Melissa Randall has returned home for the holidays after being in Paris for 6 long years.  her father starts right away trying to play matchmaker with her and the town sheriff Harry. 

Melissa learns of her mother having a tumor and needing surgery to remove it as it may or may not be cancerous.

Peony Potter comes to Cut Corners, Texas to open a dress shop.  She doesn't realize she really has her work cut out for her.  And she soon finds hersleft falling for the sheriff, Rafe Wilson.

THis book was set in 1870ish.  It moved along fast and managed to hold my interest even though this is historical.  I usually do not read these types of books.

In Hawkins Hollow the lull is over, and the nightmare is about to begin.....for seven days, every seven yearts madness descends on this small town.  But three men bound by blood and three women bound by ancestory to a demon have pledged their souls - and their hearts - to stop it.
