The Guilty
Loved it! A great follow-up to The Mark, which I also thoroughly enjoyed.
Three Boys and a Baby (AR 1211)
A nice, sweet romance.
Three young boys come across an abandoned baby which leads to their parents meeting. Both divorced, single parents, they have a lot in common, including an attraction for one another. Bring in an ex-wife and some meddling children and you have a romance with a lot of bumps along the way.
Streetwise
I was able to get my hands on the manuscript for Streetwise -- it is one of the launch titles of a new series, Black Star Crime, that will be on sale in August 2008. Unfortunately, for now, this will only be available in the UK.
The Italian Playboy's Secret Son
I think this was the first Harlequin Romance book I've read in a long time -- although the title and alpha male hero made it seem like a Presents book without the sex. I'm not such a fan of the alpha male but I did enjoy the story and really loved the description of the setting in Italy.
His Secret Past
I haven't read a series book in a long time and this book reminded me how great they are. It was a quick but highly enjoyable read.
I really enjoyed how modern it was -- at one point there is a bet between the hero and heroine and if she loses, he gets to delete any 5 songs off her ipod.
Stray
I had heard great things about this book and it definitely lived up to my expectations. I really enjoyed being introduced to and immersed in the world of the werecat; it was a nice change from the typical paranormal stories of vampires & werewolves. I'm now looking forward to reading Rogue, the next book following Faythe and her family's pride.
Death of a Carpenter
A great mystery read. The is the second Grant Reynolds story -- I hadn't read the first (Blink of an Eye), and although there were references to the cases in the first book, the second book stood alone. It was a quick read.
Girl Most Likely To
I hadn't read an RDI in a long time and this one didn't disappoint. It was a quick, easy read and it was great to have the indian culture weaved into the story.
Taken
This was a pretty good suspense read. Some great twists that I didn't see coming. However, it was a bit disturbing and I'm sure it would be hard to read for mothers since it was about the kidnapping of a young boy.
The Secret Life of CeeCee Wilkes
I read this book on my vacation and really enjoyed it. A quick page-turner that I couldn't put down.
