No Way to Begin by Michelle Reid (HP 1478)

Back Cover:

Taking over the business was just the first step

Anton Lakitos wanted Nina Lovell, too. But she despised him.

She was convinced that it was the arrogant Greek property developer who'd ruined her father's health because of his desire to add Lovell's to his list of conquests.

When she discovered he was hell-bent on buying her, too, Nina faced the kind of dilemma every loyal daughter dreaded?should she watch Anton ruthlessly break her father's heart, or should she attempt to keep the company in the family. . . by marrying the man she hated?

Spoiler Warning: All my reviews contain spoilers to some degree

Favourite Scene: (the hero is drunk and thinks he's dreaming)

'No!' she choked again, 'Get your hands off me, you...'Tut, tut, tut,' he scolded, a long, incredibly sensitive finger coming out to tap her scorching cheek. 'This is my dream,' he announced. 'And I like my nymphs willing, not naughty. Well, maybe a little naughty,' he then amended on a husky little laugh.

The Italian's Pregnancy Proposal by Maggie Cox (HP Extra 19)

Back Cover:

When tall, dark, rich and gorgeous Dante di Andrea made love to her, Bliss knew she couldn't keep him in her life. But then he discovered she was pregnant! Dante was furious! No child of his would be brought up in poverty.

However, Bliss wasn't happy when Dante proposed. Surely he needed to marry a woman of his own kind—and do it for love…?

Spoiler Warning: All my reviews contain spoilers to some degree

Favourite Scene:

‘Where is your bedroom?’ Raising his head, Dante stared down into Bliss’s glazed violet eyes with possessive intent, his need to make her properly his urgent and primitive and driving every other coherent thought far from his mind. Trying to straighten her dishevelled clothing and meeting his avaricious gaze with equal hunger as she moved away from the wall, Bliss didn’t reply—just headed dazedly down the hall to a door right at the end and went inside.

The Christmas Bride by Penny Jordan (HP 2587)

Back Cover:

Silas Stanway is furious! How did he end up playing escort to Tilly at a Christmas wedding in Spain? He expects her to be scheming and desperate. Instead she's sweet and honest. But why does she need to hire a man? When they have to share a room, Silas assumes this must be part of his escort duties. But he's wanted Tilly from the moment they met--whatever the consequences....

Spoiler Warning: All my reviews contain spoilers to some degree

Favourite Scene:

‘But I haven’t told her about using the agency,’ she warned. ‘She’ll probably assume that I already knew you.’
‘Or that we’re past lovers?’
Tilly was aghast. She shook her heed vehemently. ‘No, she won’t think that. She knows that I—’
‘That you what? Took a vow of chastity?’
For some reason the drawling cynicism in his voice hurt. ‘She knows that I don’t have any intention of ever getting married.’
‘Because you don’t believe in marriage?’
Tilly gave him a level look and replied coolly, ‘No, because I don’t believe in divorce.’

Hired: The Sheikh's Secretary Mistress by Lucy Monroe (HP 2747)

Back Cover:

Sheikh Amir bin Faruq al Zorha lives in New York, but the desert is where his heart lies. Now it's time for him to marry….

Grace Brown, Amir's plain but indispensable assistant, isn't exactly queen material. No matter how tempted Amir is to take her innocence, she's off-limits. Until he returns to his homeland, where the barbarian prince replaces the businessman—and resolves that Grace will be his!

Spoiler Warning: All my reviews contain spoilers to some degree

Favourite Scene: (the heroine's utter ignorance/innocence is funny, so is her slamming shut the Joys of Sex)

When her breathing had become more erratic, she’d wondered if she was developing asthma. When her womb clenched and that place between her thighs that had never been touched by anyone but a doctor’s clinical hand pulsed with some nameless need, she’d thought she was having muscle spasms.

She’d been mortified when she took her symptoms to the doctor only to be told by the kindly, but elderly GP that she was in lust.

One Night, One Baby by Kate Hardy (HP 2753)

Back Cover:

Everyone seems to have forgotten Jane's birthday—but meeting handsome, brooding millionaire Mitch Holland gives her good reason to celebrate. The attraction between them is intense, but Mitch puts a strict limit on their time together: he can offer her one night only.

A few weeks later, Jane is still struggling to forget gorgeous Mitch—and their unforgettably sexy night together. Then she discovers she's pregnant….

Spoiler Warning: All my reviews contain spoilers to some degree

Favourite Scene:

‘Doing things you’ve always wanted to do.’

She could feel her skin heating. ‘Things most women have done by the age of twenty-five.’ And since she could guess what he was thinking, she threw the words at him. ‘If you must know, top of the list was kissing a tall, dark, handsome stranger. But I was too chicken and took your photo instead.’

The corner of his mouth quirked. ‘You were going to kiss me?’

She glared at him. Talk about maximum humiliation.

‘Interesting.’

Before she realised his intentions, he’d pulled her onto his lap, slid one hand across the nape of her neck, and then his mouth was moving against hers. Teasing her. Tasting her. Tiny, nibbling kisses along her lower lip that incited her to open her mouth and let him deepen the kiss.

An Unbreakable Bond by Robyn Donald (HP 904)

Back Cover:

There was a bond between Geoffrey Upcott and Tiffany. She had felt it from their first meeting, and nothing Geoffrey’s arrogant nephew, Eliot, could say or do was going to make her stop seeing his uncle. So she defied him, only to find that Eliot was often at his uncle’s house when she was there. And gradually she began to realise that there was a bond between her and Eliot, too. And that the sparks that flew whenever they met, had turned to something Tiffany could no longer ignore, nor control...

Spoiler Warning: All my reviews contain spoilers to some degree

Favourite Scene: (whew does the heroine hold her own with a snooty woman!)

Ella said icily, ‘You know, I think Geoffrey must be going senile, poor old pet. Not that I suppose he wants conversation from you, but you’re practically dumb, aren’t you? Still, no doubt you pay for your supper in other ways.’
Tiffany finished re-colouring her mouth. Her skin was stiff with tension but no sign of it appeared in her voice when she replied, ‘What an incredibly commonplace mind you have.’ And while Ella was still gaping she continued confidentially, ‘I wouldn’t drink any more, if I were you. You’re starting to slur your words.’
‘Why—you little—’
Tiffany smiled and stepped back. ‘Now we learn how a lady behaves, I suppose.'

The Italian Boss's Mistress of Revenge by Trish Morey (HP 2751)

Back Cover:

All that stands in the way of Dante Carrazzo and revenge is Mackenzi Keogh. Mackenzi will do anything to save her hotel—something Dante uses to his advantage: he'll reconsider if she becomes his mistress! Mackenzi knows she shouldn't trust Dante, but the pleasure he gives is too intense to resist. However, their bargain is compromised when Dante learns she is pregnant….

Favourite Scene:

‘So what was the point of hanging around?’ Mackenzi said, angling up her chin. ‘It was all over in a minute, after which you promptly rolled over and went to sleep. Hardly worth hanging around for.’

The cockiness slid from his face, her insult finding its mark. ‘All over in a minute? Seems to me I remember you enjoying every second of that minute.’

She shrugged. ‘It was okay, I guess.’

Back Cover:

Count Wolf Gambrelli annoyed, irritated… and aroused her. Angelica tried to hate the Sicilian, but couldn't get him out of her head! Wolf had been chosen to protect her, and Angelica hoped her body would not betray her under the intense scrutiny of his gaze. It was clear that Wolf wanted Angelica—and he'd stop at nothing to bed her….

Favourite Scene:

He drew in a sharp breath. ‘Are you absolutely certain you can’t be pregnant from our time together last night?’

She blinked. ‘You came back here at one o’clock in the morning to ask me that?’ she said incredulously.

No, of course he hadn’t come back here just to ask her that!

But it seemed as good a place as any to start this conversation…

‘Are you certain?’ he repeated insistently.

‘No, of course not. But—’

‘Would you like to be?’
Desert King, Pregnant Mistress by Susan Stephens (HP Extra 18)

Back Cover:

Sheikh Khalifa is bored by the potential wives paraded in front of him. So when he catches sweet, innocent Beth Torrance trespassing on his private beach, he is more than ready to be distracted….

Beth comes to the island a naïve virgin, but leaves an awakened woman—and unknowingly pregnant with the sheikh's baby! When the desert king vows to claim his child—and take its mother as his permanent mistress—Beth is powerless to refuse a royal decree!

Favourite Scene: (when she first met him, he was naked)

She’d just have to make sure she didn’t blurt out something completely inappropriate, Beth thought, starting to panic. She definitely mustn’t say, ‘I hardly recognised you in your clothes.’
