I feel ambivalent about this book. It was well written I wasn't crazy about no quotation marks but I got used to that but the subject matter isn't my favorite--mental illness. I doubt that it's anyone's. I can see what mental illness can do to a family and this poor family has been through the wringer with Min, the mother of 15 y.o., Logan, and 11 y.o., (Theodora) Thebes.

In flashbacks we learn of the heroine and her best friends life from the mid 50's to present day.
Our characters, Marilyn, Steve (M's brother), Penny, Wish and Barbara grew up in the Washington, DC neighborhood of Riggs Park that has become a poor area now.
Trading Dreams at Midnight
I liked this book and feel it's written very well. It's not a happy story but not many are that deal with families who has a member with mental illness.

What a fun Cowboy!! Our Knight in Shining Armor on his White horse is September's '08 Back in Business addition to the series and it's a great addition, too.

Getaway
I found an old ('04) Christmas anthology to read. I wanted an antho as I have been very busy this week and thought short stories would be good and these 3 were.
It's very HOT, our first hot spell, where I live so this was fun to read at this time.
