Due to a torn rotator cuff a couple of days after my blog on October 20, I didn't get a chance to draw a winner for my October give-away. If Elaine and Caira could please send an email to kathie@kathiedenosky.com with their snail mail addresses, I'll get your prizes in the mail ASAP.

My New Books

My Hanover Square trilogy is drawing to its finale. The first two books - A country Miss In Hanover Square and An Innocent Debutante in Hanover Square are already out and available through the internet. The third book comes out early next year in the Uk. The Mistress of Hanover Square is described as a sparkling read and I believe my readers will enjoy it.

The Three Faces of a Spice Author

I write hot. Erotic. Spine-tingling fiction where the hiss of a riding crop slicing through the air signals a most unusual wedding night for the heroine in my upcoming Spice novel, The Blonde Samurai, Feb 2010. Not exactly what every blushing bride has listed on her bridal registry.

November News

November shines the Spotlight on Love Inspired, and we're doing it up in style. Here are a few things you can look forward to this month.

First, if you haven't started reading yet, we have a great online read by Margaret Daley, called Shattered Trust. A bit of trivia for you- this is Margaret's FIRST online read for us. Those of you who've been on the boards a while know that Margaret is one of our longtime members and we just adore her. So please stop by, lend your support, and let her know just how much we appreciate her.

Second, starting November 9th, and going through November 24th, we're having a Thanksgiving Blessings and Traditions discussion. Because the heart of Love Inspired books is all about faith and family, we're sharing this special holiday with our online family. We hope you'll join us and share your traditions as well. And who knows, maybe you'll find a special new tradition of your own to incorporate into your celebrations.

Silhouette Dreamscapes, Bombshell and Shadows ... extras

Last week we had new carpet installed in our basement and in one room on the main floor. Of course we had to clear out all the space and that's left me with a ton of work. BTW that's pretty much where I've been the last couple of weeks: going through everything we had to move, before we put it back. Because no way, no how am I just returning everything higgeldy-piggeldy. So far I'm gotten rid of a number of boxes of old VHS tapes, a lot of books and just a whole whack of junk... you know how it is, right?

Anyway, my computer / book room is now in the process of being... well, processed and I've come to a decision to get rid of books that I'm not going to read or re-read. I've got a number of Silhouette books from the Shadows, Bombshell and a Dreamscapes imprints and would love to offer them to fellow book-lovers. The books are free, the only thing I'm asking for is the cost of shipping. Even from Canada one book shouldn't cost all the much ~ I'm guessing somewhere in the vicinity of $2.00.

Calling Greek Mythology Lovers!

One of my childhood memories is getting in trouble in class because I was so absorbed in a book that I didn't even hear the teacher come into the room--much less call my name. The book I could not pull my nose out of was about the ancient gods of Greek mythology. I was mesmerized by the monsters, the magic, and the tales of heroism. I'm still mesmerized by these things today, which may be why I write dark and sexy myth-inspired romances. I always thought I was alone in my fascination, but now that I pay more attention to popular culture, I'm noticing a lot of Greek mythology cropping up in modern media.

That's why I decided to run my Autumn Contest. I need your help brainstorming books, movies, and songs with overt
elements of Greek Mythology in them! I’ll be giving away a gift certificate and a free copy of one of my Nocturne Bites. All you have to do is post here on my blog, and I'll give you a raffle ticket for each answer.

I hope you'll be as tickled by the replies as I've been. I've written about a lot of ancient creatures including underworld nymphs, gorgons, dryads, chimeras, hydras, minotaurs and Greek Gods, but I'm not alone. There seems to be a flourishing of modern takes on mythology in the coming year, and I hope other enthusiasts welcome it as much as I do.

Silhouette Nocturne Authors Blog
