Friend finding tip
Hi Jill,
If you are looking for a specific friend on the site, you can use the advanced search to look someone up!
Type in all or part of your friend's name in the search field and hit the search button. By default, the search looks for content with the word you've entered but also has a link near the top to search users.
This should help you find friends! They have all the same names from the old site.

You guys kick a$$. Thanks for the requests. I know I am still missing some of my essentials. I will have to take Scott's advice and search them out this weekend.
I still love the new site but adapting is rough.
Friend Finding Expedition
I have been scanning the posts and clicking on known friends from last year. Sometimes I dont remember if I've clicked on them and do it again.
I found you and you are on my buddy list ; ) I find this hodgepodge way of looking at all posts and not being able to go to peoples blogs and read about the books very disturbing. I may save money this year because I can't see the books as easliy. I wish there was a master list of bloggers like last year and I could go to faves and check their latest out like I used to. This getting older and living in a rut is leaving me behind.

Harder to Find
I do think it is a bit harder to keep up with everyone of course there are more people this year. Also the older I get the harder it is to change especially when you know zip about all this stuff. I never even learned how to do spoilers last year and several tried to help me. Hopefully I can learn my way around so I can find out what everyone is reading.

Deb, I don't think we have to worry about the spoilers this year. For some reason it seems the font color function has been removed. I guess I would just put something like:
***SPOILER***
blah blah blah
***END SPOILER***
Then the person reading will know not to read that section if they don't want to know! If they decide to bring the color back, then just highlight blahblahblah and select the color white so one cannot see it unless one highlights that portion!

I'm so glad you did this, because I feel the same way. "Unfortunately" I found you/you found me and we're already friends.
I've been trying to find the people nice enough to comment on my blog last year, but I'm afraid I can't really remember names, and I don't want to friend someone and have them respond "who are you??" 
Long lost friends
I really agree with you guys about it being harder to find everyones posts. Last year I had a list of ppl that I popped on to their blogs daily, even if I didn't comment there, just to see what they were reading. It's a little more difficult this year. I am still hoping that they (eHarl team that is) can find a way to fix that little issue.
And does anyone else miss the spellcheck? Now everyone will know that I can't spell. I don't want to go through the mess of typing in word then sending it here. Blah.
As for the spoilers, the colors were here for a while and then they vanished. I hope, hope, HOPE they will be back soon. Cause Lover Enshrined will be released before we know it and if we don't have the ability to white out the font for the spoilers we are all screwed.
I totally get that the board is a work in progress. And I truly see it's potential. But what I really miss is the scrolling through previous posts and looking for the "new" to know if I need to click and read the comments. Even on my own blogs!
Okay, seriously, I will quit griping now. Sorry.

It took me awhile to even notice i had invites and where to look...and i know others had difficulty with it as some of my invites i made sat there for quite awhile waiting to get accepted...my invite to you was one of the last to get accepted, lol
Sometimes my blog would announce a new invite to answer...sometimes no announcement came, but there'd be people waiting to be excepted, so i learned to check inside the requests button whenever i noticed it.

There are quite a few I've been looking for and haven't found yet. I tried the search and it took me to hundreds of quotes without the result I wanted. I finally found who I was looking for but it took a long time. There are a lot of things I like but I miss the STAR too. I also find it a bit hard to remember what I wanted to comment on when you go to post a comment that only the one in front of yours comes up. I want to scroll back through like I did last year. Oh well, guess I'll adapt.

I am really glad I am not the only one, I've been looking for friends that joined with me from Brenda Jackson bookclub. I have found 1 and now that I am trying to add her to my friends I can't seem to find her again.
