Writing time

It looks like I am going to have more time to write.  I fell last Thursday and thought I had twisted my ankle.  My foot was black this morning so I decided to go to the doctor.  It seems I have walked for a week on a broken foot and now they are telling me to stay off of it until I see the orthopaedic surgeon about it.

So the good thing is I get to read and write before tax season becomes full swing, and the bad news is I had all of the medical bills paid off, so here I go again!

 Happy reading everyone!

Writing time, good... Foot, bad

Sorry to hear about the foot, that stinks! But at least you're making lemonade and using the time for writing.

And I hear you on tax season. My other job is doing taxes, and man, is this time of year busy!

Thank you for the well wishes!

Thank you for the well wishes.  I know during tax season, I work long hours so it is great to get rested up before hand.

At this point, I am praying for a walking cast!Smile

You Poor Thing!

Sorry about your foot!  I hope you a very speedy (and inexpensive) recovery.

broken bones

I am so sorry to hear you broke your foot.  I hope it can be fixed quickly and with the least amount of pain.  Good reading time though with that foot up and all.

Yes I am a readalholic and I don't want the 12 step program!!!

It takes a tough woman to walk around on a broken foot for a week.  Here's hoping for a speedy recovery.

Hugs!

Good luck with your Dr. visit!  Hope it'll be an easy fix without surgery!! I got away with wearing a boot for 3 months. You be a good girl and stay off of it.

Thank you for the hugs and well wishes!

I appreciate all of the well wishes.  I am praying for a walking cast or boot and no surgery.  I slept most of the day and decided I needed to get up and check the boards.

I am reading more than writing, but dd hooked up a cordless keyboard and we are going to see if it will work from the couch.  If so, I just might get my WIP finished next week! Smile

Hi Betty:

Hi Betty:

I hope your foot improves with minimum intervention. I've had to have a boot, and walking cast, operations, and two years in a wheelchair because of foot problems. I was always thankful for any time period that I did not have to spend in a wheelchair. The big problem with foot problems is that you have to walk on your feet. I don't think there is any other injury that has to take so much pressure while it is trying to heal. I think I know just what you are feeling. Keep up your writing and reading.

I just read a wonderful Medical book that was  more like a Betty Neels than any non-Betty Neels book I've read before. It is called: "Their Special Care Baby" by Fiona MacArthur. It is a sweet romance like Betty Neels and it is a nurse - doctor story.  If you have not read it, I think you would really like it.

                Thanks,

                   Vince

Thank you Vince!

I'll look for the book as I love those type of books.  I have never tried to write one, but perhaps I should.

I hope you are getting around better now.  I am a rather large woman and this is the first time I really feel the pain for it.  I have got to get some weight off, especially with my arthritis.  At some point, it would help.

Betty, I'm with Jeannie

You are one tough lady!

I hope you heal up soon, and get lots of writing (and chatting with us! ;) done in the meanwhile...

Thanks Sam!

We had a carpenter here at work and he looked at me with astonishment.  He was amazed that I could walk on it for a week, broke. I told him I was ignoring it but it wouldn't go away!

I enjoy talking on the boards.  We do have fun, don't we!

Oh, EEK!!!

I hope that foot heals quickly!!!  Are you feeling any relief yet?

Thank you Jodie for the well wishes.  I still have a lot of pain, but it is not as bad as it was.  In the night, I can move it a ceratin way and the pain makes me sit up in bed, but the swelling is going and I am happy to be healing. Smile
