The Reawakened by Jeri Smith-Ready

At one time the Spirits united the land and its people.

Then came the dark days.

She is Rhia, bound to the Spirit of Crow and gifted with vision. In a world besieged by escalating conflict, fate has marked her to deliver the Reawakened from oppression.

Now, with a mighty army of Descendants threatening to crush what’s left of her people’s magic, she must trust an ancient prophecy and accept the power that is her birthright—the power of life and death itself.

For while the storm of revolution rages, the legacy of the Reawakened is about to be rewritten...in her family’s blood

Welcome, everyone!

Hey there!  I hope you guys get a chance to read The Reawakened soon--I truly cannot WAIT to hear what you think of the trilogy's conclusion.  It's an emotional ride, believe me, but I think y'all can take it. Wink

Have a great week, and if you're in the US, don't forget to vote on Tuesday if you haven't already!

Jeri

Hi Jeri!

As you know, I LOVED the book!!!  I can't rave enough about it!!!

And um, I live in Florida so I braved the early voting lines and ultimately showed up at 7 freaking am when the polls opened so I've already voted! Smile

I Love this series!

I can't wait to get the book.

I've voted.  My neck of the woods has vote-by-mail only.  Which is a good thing.  I'm way too lazy to brave the lines.  But you do have to vote early since it has to arrive in time.

Hey Six, I can't wait for

Hey Six,

I can't wait for this book either !

I just got a new B&N card

I just got a new B&N card for my birthday....so guess what I'm going to buy.  Cast in Fury and The Reawakened!  Life is good!

I have it!

But I can't read it Cry If I read this, then I won't write and then I won't complete NaNo, and I really want to hit 50k this year. So it's sitting on my computer desk as incentive to reach the 50k mark. But it will be the very first book I read in December. Smile

I have it too!

But I won't be starting it until my parents head back home.  They are in town for ten days (woohoo!)....and since I generally only see them a few times a year, I don't really get any reading in.  I can't wait to start!

Hello again

Thank you so much, Debbie!  I will love and cherish my little recommended read icon forever! Kiss

Happy Birthday Six!  Bookstore gift cards are the best gifts in the world.

Missy: D'oh!  This is the problem with having a book come out in November.  Everyone's doing NaNo and has no time to read.  Tongue out

I, OTOH, have lots of time.  I just turned in a book on Nov. 5 and have lots of little writing projects scheduled for the rest of the month.  But nothing humongous--too burned out from the deadline.  Good luck with NaNo, Missy, and thanks for picking up the book! Smile

Tammy: Aww, you're fortunate to have family whose visits you enjoy. Most people would be tearing their hair out. Not me, of course! Laughing

Hope you all enjoy the book!

Okay, now that I know it's out I'm going to be

heading to the bookstore soon ~ very soon!  Or... I think that there are a few eHarlequin books on my TBG list... Hmmm, I'll have to think about it ~ but not for long!

I can hardly wait!  'Specially after reading Debbie's reivew last month!

I have the book as well, I

I have the book as well, I really love the cover !

I can't wait to dig in with a nice cup of tea :)

New Aspect of Crow story here on eHarlequin!

Chapter One of my new Aspect of Crow tie-in story is now live!

"Storm Reaper" takes place about two years before The Reawakened, but since it's set in a completely different area with different characters, you can read it either before or after that book.

Fans of Voice of Crow will remember Kiril, Filip's comrade from the Ilion cavalry. He's one
of the protagonists of this story, along with a disgraced noblewoman
named Helena. Filip and Alanka make an appearance in the story as well.

I was thrilled to be able to visit this world one last time. As I might
have mentioned, several characters and plots were cut from The Reawakened
as I was working on it. The biggest deletion dealt with how the war and
revolution were affecting Filip and Kiril's native country of Ilios.

A new chapter will appear every Monday between now and January 19. Enjoy!

Hey Jeri!

I just finished The Reawakened, wow!!  It was everything I hoped it would be, and more.  You were right, though, it packed quite an emotional punch.  What a fantastic series!!

Ok, I have a few questions.  You said that you had to cut a lot from the book, especially Illion scenes...do you plan on giving us some of those scenes on your website??  I would love to read some of them.  Also, I know this was the final book in this world, but do you have any other plans for writing for LUNA?

Now I need to go read your online read...Smile

Thanks Jeri!

Thanks, Tammy!

Glad you enjoyed THE REAWAKENED.  If you check out the online read, you'll see a character who got cut from the book.  I didn't use entire scenes for the story, maybe a paragraph or two.  It's hard for me to post deleted scenes, because i usually change so much of the book that the scene would no longer make sense in the context of the final version.  Like each deletion has a ripple effect on the rest of the novel, you know?

I don't currently have any more books scheduled with Luna.  I'm focusing on my vampire series and a new young adult series that I hope a publisher will pick up. *fingers crossed*  I don't think I could write more than two books in a year, so it'd be tough for me to have several series going at once.  But maybe one day if I clone myself! Smile

Finished it!

Wow Jeri what a ride! I LOVED it.
