Still struggling

Some of you will have noticed that I'm still not around much, I'm still struggling with my ToDoList and negative energy levels and men who don't listen

I had kind of intended to post a few books towards the Challenge but it's not going to happen this month because I just can't manage to get the energy and the inclination in alignment

The coming weekend is the end of the school holidays so will have to be spent (once again) tidying the house in preparation for a birthday party (groan!) and of course we'll have to go party and pressie shopping (double groan!) and have to make something for the class "gouter" for Thursday and Friday

So I'm still lurking though even less than before

But let's look on the bright side of things - the Christmas pressie parcels finally went out today Innocent and this weekend might be a good occasion to try out an audible download while I'm tidying up - I tried a little bit of one, but all it did was remind me why I don't really like audiobooks - though I have to admit they're great for foreigners if they read along with the print version while they're listening

Hope life is going well for the rest of you

Hugs

Sadhbh, it sounds like you

Sadhbh, it sounds like you need this break you are taking from blogging. We miss your blogs and your insights and we are happy when you pop in so we know you are still around. Women need to take care of themselves, cause when the metaphorical well goes dry for family members it is often mom who feels it, but when your well goes dry the whole family is in trouble. Take care of yourself.

Take care of yourself and thanks for checking in. I really hate it when someone dissappears as I worry about them.

Do they make men who listen?

5 brothers, 1 husband, 2 boy children...none of them seem to know how...They just hear what they want to hear....

Hi all - thanks for the encouragement and support

I keep hoping my energy levels will miraculously be restored and then something else happens

There was the car and then we managed to get a loan and replace it

and then there was the worry DH wouldn't have a car for the kids' school holidays but the garageman was nice and gave us the car before he got his money

and then we went to the mountains in the new car and nearly skidded into an electricity pole and then had to dig ourselves out to come home six hours later

Driving at 15 mph with chains and then 30 pmh without chains for nearly two hours is tiring in itself - especially on my "day off" LOL

I had great hopes for a sleep-in yesterday but then B woke me up at half seven having wet his bed so that was that plan scuppered

All little things of no major importance but which add up to lack of energy, lack of enthusiasm and a desire to get everyone to go away until I can recuperate but "everyone" isn't listening because I'm surrounded by men

Jenna - it could be worse - you could have five brothers, five husbands and ten male children Innocent

Leave the men and boys in

Leave the men and boys in Toulouse (or near it) and come to visit me in Lille.  I have books that you haven't read.

Stop the Presses

Sadhbh - I feel like shouting 'Stop the Presses! You have to wait for Sadhbh!'

Hey listen, everyone goes through a bit of depression every now and then. It's part of life. Usually it happens in this time of the year, especially here in Canada where a lot of people suffer from SAD - Seasonal Affective Disorder - due to decreased light levels. I'm don't any more, thank goodness, but I still have my mom's Christmas present here waiting to go out. It's because I need to make some Peanut Butter cookies to put in it and I haven't gotten around to it... Okay, now I sound shallow, don't I?

If you need the time off

Hi--I think if you need the time off, you need it and should take it without guilt. That's the best way to make sure the time you do spend reading and blogging and hanging around is enjoyable to you. I went on a mini-hiatus myself because I had a lot of catching up and making up to do after I handed in my last book.

I hope things sort out and that your energy comes back!

It's the "Y" chronosome that causes the problem and one just has to learn to work around it.  Always enjoy your comments when you do manage to skulk around in the shadows to add them.
