Post-its

are great! I'm finding it so much easier now that I keep a supply
everywhere with a pen, so that I can write down my impressions and the
blurb straight away after I finish.

Whether I'll be able to keep up this frantic pace or not remains to be
seen (I'm reading #32 at the moment) but at least the backlog isn't
quite as daunting when I already know what I want to say

If we count rereads I'm already up between 60 and 70Embarassed

but then I've been sickWink

Advice to new Challengers don't let your backlogs get too big, it really takes
too much time and energy that you'd be better off using for housework
or reading Tongue out

I find that blogging as you go is the best way to handle things. I got behind last year and I never really caught up.  This year even if I'm not able to post, I'm putting my blogs into a word document. That is making things just a little bit easier.

Laughter is an instant vacation- Milton Berle

I used the word doc

last year, but this year I'm also going the post-it route, because I'm not always at my computer when I finish a book

Then I just stack the books with the post-its in them and when I have time at the computer they go into the word doc

and when I find time in here, they go into the Challenge blog

They're all just tools when all is said and done, it doesn't matter which tools we use, as long as the work gets done

confessions...

Confessions of a book reader...I still prefer to write in my books, underlining and taking notes, but I try not to do it most of the time.  Post-it notes are a real must for me.

Hi Sadhbh,

Hi there, "waving" we need a wave icon!!

I miss you, the Challenge is just not the same & it is impossible for me to keep up with all the reviews.  However, I do miss seeing our team.  I will start adding Dream Team on the tags!  Guess I will be doing the right thing.

The magic dinner fairy has missed my house so I need to go do it myself!  I cheated last night plus I took a pork chop out of the freezer that needs to be used.  See you later.  I'll have another book to add tomorrow or I might even surprise myself & do it later tonight!  See you on the boards. Smile

Take care, happy reading,

good idea...

I keep all of my posts in a word document, for easy searching later and so forth, but Post-Its sounds like a great idea. lOl.

It'd be a lot easier, thats for sure.

I better get to putting up my backlog...

Happy reading,
~Kristen

If life gives you lemons, give them to a lemonade stand and read!

Hi Kristen

I'm having computer and internet connection problems at the moment,
so if I didn't at least have the post-its I'd have such a backlog I'd
just give up

and then where would FF be Wink

Having trouble surfing and leaving comments to, but I hope to make it to your blog fairly soon

Where would FF be?

Why, she would be calling you on the phone to bug you about blogging, that's where she'd be.
