Back in November some of hubby's relatives moved in with us. They came down for a vacation and decided to stay in Illinois. Well things started off well. Then my makeup went missing. I knew it wasn't my girls because they never mess with it. So I bought some more and not 3 days later the makeup that went missing had returned and the new I just bought was gone. Well the one responsible for that was on her way to Texas and she's not allowed back into our house. The other two have been fine, until they stopped helping around the house. They haven't really bought any groceries or helped out with the raised bills.
Well they're moving out on FRIDAY!! Hubby get's his storage shed back, I get the house back, the gilrs get their toy room back. Never will I let anyone move in with us. Not unless they give me $4000 up front and a guarantee that they'll be gone in one months time. Then I might think about it.

Ouch, glad to hear that you
Ouch, glad to hear that you are getting your house back. I hope they do something for you and your hubby once they are out and on their feet.

I'd do the same thing. Ew and she stole your stuff? Gah be careful using it. Or better yet, don't. Sharing makeups a very good way to get someone else's medical issues! And woo, you're getting your home back!

Glad you'll have your privacy again!
Gosh it's hard to say no to family ... and you never think they'll take advantage of your generosity ... so when they do, it hurts
so glad that situation is coming to an end ....hate to say it, but lock up the valuables ....
wishing you much better, peaceful, private days

I'm happy for you!!
That sounds like a nightmare. I mean, having family steal from you and all is horrid. I had this one unnamed relative who used to steal from us. After a visit (mind you, always a short one for my sanity's sake), sure enough towels and sheets would disappear. But I threw a fit when books got damaged!!

They're NOT Leaving YET
G&D! We got into over the weekend. The agreement was that they buy groceries while they were staying with us. Well none have been bought in over 2 weeks and when some were bought it was enough for them not all of us. They haven't been cleaning up after themselves, including the dog. I'm tired of dog hair attached to everything. I spent all my grocery money on the power and water bills that got raised and we spent over $115 dollars on stuff for the house that we can't even eat. (TP, Paper towels, soap, shampoo.... etc.) I JUST WANT MY HOUSE BACK!
Oh no!!!
Are they leaving soon???? All of my sympathy to you!! I'd be ready to pull my (or their!) hair out by now!

I think I might be tempted to just change the locks
I
do have my brother living with us, but he contributes to costs, helps
with the housework and gets the boys out to school in the morning so we
don't need to hire a babysitter
stealing would be a dealbreaker for me, but lucky enough we're both honest
Good luck putting up with them until they decide to leave

This weekend.
Hopefully this weekend they'll be out. This the second time we had someone extra stay with us. And we've both decided, unless they're orphaned they aren't moving in. No exceptions. I wouldn't mind it so much if they did help out around. They hardly contribute financially, they can't, but cleaning up after themselves would be great, especially the dog. I'm tired of pulling stuff off the floor covered in dog hair. H#ll the youngest didn't even know we had a vacuum cleaner. Tell ya how much they help. I normally vacuum once a week, but with the dog it has to be done twice and I don't have time during the week to do it. (I swear I'm going to get an ulcer out of this)
I told them this past weekend they had to be out, got all mad and said by law they have a week. I said no you don't. It's my house and you don't pay rent. There was no contract signed. I told her I'd just lock the door. I have a dead bolt that locks from the inside and no one has a key to it. So they'd have to break in to get in, but then one of us would be there in the first place.
I'm just at my wits end.
Oh no!
Here you are doing them a favor and they want to say that by law they have a week?
All of my sympathy and hope that they will LEAVE this weekend!!!
