Just curious about other peoples favorites. I know my own TBR & TBB piles have already grown because of the book reviews I've been reading. Some I've overlooked and some I just completely bypassed along the way. But that got me wondering what books y'all might recommend based on your favorites.
Personally, I can't name just one favorite. For me, it depends on the type you're interested in. Some of my favorites include: THE COUNT OF MONTE CRISTO and THE THREE MUSKETEERS by Alexandre Dumas; RIVER'S END and CAROLINA MOON by Nora Roberts; ANYONE BUT YOU by Jennifer Crusie (although I have truly enjoyed all her books); THE PELICAN BRIEF by John Grisham; NIGHTTIME IS MY TIME by Mary Higgins Clark; and THE RESCUE by Nicholas Sparks.
What about you? What are some of your favorites?

CAROLINA MOON was a great book. Have you ever read RIVER'S END? I enjoyed it just as much. It was actually the first romance book I read. And the book that ultimately changed my reading habits.
Anyhow, I forgot all about COAST ROAD. Really good book. I've read several Barbara Delinsky books and have liked them a lot. Have 2 in my TBR pile now. I'll look into some of the others on your list. Thanks.

Nonsense...
I don't think there's ever too many. I've enjoyed several that you mentioned myself. I've only read the 1st in James Patterson's WMC series. And I haven't made it to Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum books yet. (I'm currently reading the FULL series). But I intend to read more of each this year. Thanks for the suggestions.

Hello Everyone
I have loved to read for most of my life so it is hard to pick the top favorites but here are some.
James Patterson's WMC series....I am waiting for book 7. Joy Fielding's....have liked them all. Linda Lael Miller....have read all of hers. Olivia Goldsmith.....I really miss her..... Nicholas Sparks....especially the Guardians...but all his are good. Anne McAllister's Code of the West series...Kristine Rolofson and Vicki Lewis Thompson...anything by them I read. I have read Ashes in the Wind and the Flame and the Flower by Kathleen Woodiwiss so many times I have lost count.
When I find a good book I usually try and read all the books by the same author.....Lately I have read Edna Buchanan, Kathy Reichs. The Jesse Stone series and the Sunny Randall series by Robert B. Parker.....I have read all of Greg ILES and David Baldacci.
I am working on the sisterhood series by Fern Michaels but have also read a bunch of others by her. I have read most of Debbie Macombers books along with Sandra Brown...
Those are off the top of my head.......I have been reading since I was 3 and avidly since I was 12 so there have been a lot of books over the years.

I can't believe I forgot
I am so bad I can't believe I forgot J.R. Ward and the brothers beginning with Dark Lover and am almost biting my nails waiting for Lover Enshrined. I also like Fern Michaels and a whole bunch of others that everyone else has mentioned.

I knew it was normal to read. LOL!
My husband always picks on me because I like to read so much. I'm so glad to have found more avid readers! I have been reading avidly since I was a teenager, although I used to cycle on-and-off books until my mid-20s. Now I read constantly.
Anyhow, I too, when I find an author I like, I try to read everything available by that author. Ebay and Half.com are great for finding some of the harder to find titles. I have also enjoyed reading W.E.B. Griffin and Patricia Cornwell books when I'm in the mood for something different.
Thanks for all the suggestions. I look forward to some new authors.

Where do I start?
Man, this is always a tough question. Can you ever pick one from a fav author? I think its easier if there is one they wrote you didn't like.
Like others here, I love Nora (have them all - both as her and JD Robb). You have to love her MacGregor series. I actually listened to Carolina Moon - it was great. My fav single of hers is probably Honest Illusions though.
I also like Patterson. I'm up to book 6 in the WCM and I've read/listened to most of the Cross series. Has some books other than those series I like too. I'm also a huge Stuart Woods fan. Love his books. He has singles and 4 different series, which would be better to read in order. And my #1 mystery writer is Agatha Christie. Death on the Nile is still my fav.
Ok, need to make this shorter. So how about Mr. Perfect by Linda Howard, Welcome to Temptation by Jennifer Crusie, Dark Horse by Tami Hoag (awesome), Fat Tuesday by Sandra Brown, Patricia Cornwall's Kay Scarpetta series, Margin of Error by Edna Buchanen, Kay Hooper's Bishop series, MaryJanice Davidson's Undead series, anything by Margaret Maron and do not forget the JR Ward series - they are smokin'!!!! Of course, I like just about anything from the above authors.
I didn't mention my favs for Har. because that's too many. Lets just say, I'm a Blaze/Desire/Presents/Intrigue type of girl, with a few odds and ends thown in

Favorite Books
My all time favorite book is "Pride and Prejudice" by Jane Austen. I read it for fun Freshman year in college and have been in love with Mr. Darcy ever since! The best film production I've ever seen is the first PBS series way back in either the 70's or early 80's. I also read most of Victoria Holt's books. Another favorite from long ago is "Nine Coaches Waiting." Today a lot of Harlequin author's are among my favoites like Carole Mortimer, Sandra Marton, Lynne Graham, Diana Palmer, Margret Moore plus a few from other publishers like Stephanie Laurens and Moncia McCarty
