ESSENCE NOMINATION: FRIENDS

The Kimani Family is pleased to announce the following:

FRIENDS: A LOVE STORY has been selected by Essence magazine as one of the five finalists in the nonfiction category for its 2008 Essence Literary Award.  Winners will be announced on February 7, 2008.

FEBRUARY ONLINE READ - "Street Life" by Rochelle Alers..

Beginning 4th February 2008, members will be able to read Rochelle Alers' "Stree Life", a prequel to AFTER HOURS which chronicles Adina’s life as a hustler before she’s forced to flee and change her name.

I'm delighted to announce that Wayne has accepted the position as host for the Suspense and Adventure/Passion discussions on the Simply Series board! He brings to the conversation his deep knowledge of the product and his unique perspective as a romance author, in addition to his dedication to reading and promoting the romance genre.

I would like to thank everyone for their best wishes with regard to PLEASURE SEEKERS winning the RT Reviewers' award.  This title has become one of my personal favorites.  I also want to congratulate Ann on her win.   I purchased her title, because of the buzz on this loop, however, it's on my TBR pile along with a few others.  Hopefully, I'll get to read it before the end of the summer.

I'm in total agreement. PLEASURE SEEKERS is one of my favorite reads for 2007 and is deserving of the Romantic Times Award.

I consider it a masterpiece of epic proportions.
