Ok, this will be an actual test to see how many people are coming by reading this blog. :)
I just got two boxes full of HOUSE OF CARDS in the mail! It’s
beautiful and I’m very very excited and happy, and so I am going to
give away one! count ‘em! one! copy of HOUSE OF CARDS to someone who comments here and tells me why it is you, yes you, should receive a shiny new author-signed copy of the second book in the Negotiator
Trilogy!
I will send the book on Friday the 1st, so people have a week to respond!

Because I'm first! LOL
Okay, that's not the best reason. Actually, if they're doing it in audio (which they SHOULD), I won't "read" it with my eyes, anyway . . . I'll listen to it. Do you know if they're doing the audio? If yes, don't put in in the running -- let another fan have the print copy.
I was actually just coming in to :::::wave::::: hi atchya!

So this one doesn't really say anything since I didn't want a double post: I edited it.
Happy Weekend!

Well I'm DEFINITELY paying attention!
Let's see, other than the fact that I'm dying to read it... my two dogs (a Peke and a Shih Tzu) would be delighted if I won it since then I'd be curled up reading it with them! (this sounds MUCH nicer than the reason of I'm dying to read it and then mercilessly tease some of my friends about it as they'd have to wait to buy it!)

Hmmm…
Why do I deserve a book? Or is it two books: HoS and HoC? Because it will cost less to send it from Ireland to France? Because I love your books and they are never released in MMPB? Because I'm me? Because I'm a LUNAtic from way back? Because I'll share with my dearest Gnat (Sadhbh)? Because my DH is fascinated by gargoyles? (He doesn't read/speak English so He can't read the book.) BTW, I loved the excerpt on your website.

Well, the Walker Papers are
Well, the Walker Papers are coming out over there in paperback in French, FF, so hopefully the Negotiator Trilogy will too!
Penn--I'm pretty sure HEART OF STONE is out in audio, and I'm pretty sure HOUSE OF CARDS will be too. They seem to be doing a pretty good job getting them out there. Hooray!
*wriggles* Gosh, I'm all glad people are responding here on this blog. Yay! :)

Oh, yeah, Heart of Stone is in audio
But I don't trust TPTB to do the whole series in audio. I expect them to but they don't always. Hence, the question.
FF might not want to read the French . . . that's a weird market. My one and only experience is that they cut scenes. I'm not fluent in French but I do know whether or not a scene is there. But here's hoping that you sell well there. Maybe they'll release you in Quebec and I can pick up a copy when I'm there next. Hopefully one more year . . . oh, or dh's teammate can pick up one when she goes home for a visit. Huh, I'll have to keep that in mind.

Audio...
I've heard the audios are excellent but I'm addicted to the print for C.E. Murphy books so print is the way I'll keep going for now. But maybe one day I'll try one in audio just for the heck of it....

Ummm...let's see...because I'm full-blooded Irish? And I'm new to the whole book-reading thing. And, I'm a 46-year old Dad of two, and I used to serve in the U.S. Marine Corps???

Please, please, please.
I would like to read it not only because it looks great but I heard about how wonderful your writing is from someone in North Pole, Alaska! Having heard what she had to say about your writing, I would really like to read this series! Quite frankly, I am new reader to this genre (excluding the fantasy writen in my youth) and you would be a new author to me. It sounds silly, but I love exploring new authors and new reads. Merri

Hi Catie!!
Can't wait for HoC. Don't put me in the running though I'll pick it up from the eboutique since I've got HoS in ebook format. I have this thing about mixing formats.
Just wanted to say HI. It's snowing...again. Oh and before I forget we drove past the sign for Thunderbird Falls on our way to Wasilla the other day, was that the idea for the falls in the book of the same name?

I am sooo glad that I'm not the only one
who doesn't like mixing formats! Shewolf and MelissaRenee keep me company . . . never mind that I made fun of Shewolf the first time she told me that she doesn't like mixing formats! I now "get it"!

I don't like mixing formats either. :)

Why, yes, yes it was. :) There are other reasons, too, but yeah, the book is named after our local waterfall. :) You know, bizarrely, as far as I can tell that's the *only* Thunderbird Falls in the Pacific Northwest? I'd have thought there'd be more!

You know that is odd. I have plans to hike it this spring/summer. I'd do it this winter but my klutz factor has been on the high side and I don't want to risk it.

To Hockey Jock
In case you didn't see the post from Caitie (titled Endee weenar ees):
The winner of HOUSE OF CARDS is Hockeyjock, for being guy bold enough
to hang out on the Harlequin forums, and more particularly, for being
somebody just getting into this whole book-reading thing. That kind of
deviant behaviour should be encouraged! :)
Hockeyjock, if you'd email me your snail mail address to cemurphyauthor@gmail.com, I'll get the book into the mail next week. :)
