Ok. We are on a roll now. Here's my main man, MacGyver. He's 14 1/2 and has all sorts of medical problems... Cushing's, Sludge in his gall bladder, heart murmur, thyroid problems and high blood pressure... But he's a sweetie. He was in the hospital over Christmas and that's when we discovered the Cushing's. He was an owner turn-in rescue at age 9. All my rescues come from Small Paws Rescue, an bichon breed only rescue. You can find out more about them at www.smallpawsrescue.org. I am a foster parent for them and have two other foster dogs right now as well.. but the three I've posted are all mine.

MacGyver
That is just too cute! He's adorable and I LOVE the name! I loved that show. I have two Corgis and am involved in Corgi Rescue--nice to meet another rescue person. My furbabies are 10 years old and in miraculously good health considering their background.

LOL, Jayne! But the question IS.. can your Lab handle HER? They both look adorable, or I guess I should say your Lab looks "way cool, man!"
Thanks for the kind words everyone. That is probably the best picture I ever got of him, and he IS a happy guy when he feels better. He's on so many meds right now that he mostly sleeps..
Ila! How great to meet another rescue person! I knew I had things in common with you when I started reading some of your posts and saw your cute dog!
And yes, I totally loved the McGyver show too! But my Mac actually got his name because I kept looking at him for the first 6 months that I fostered him and telling him, you just DON"T look like an Indy! (the name he came with). He just had this Irish twinkle in his eyes and I knew I needed a name with a brogue-ish bite to it... so one day when my original female, Joy (who went to the rainbow bridge New Year's Eve, 2006) made it clear that she wanted me to keep Mac as HER companion, I told him, ok.. you can stay... and I think you look like a MacGyver... Well his tail started wagging and he answered to that name right away! It was like he somehow knew that once I named him, he was mine.
