Lora Leigh ~ Harmony's Way. I'm not counting this in my book totals, still I had to review this awesome book!!

I just re-read this book, but as it’s within a year since I last read it, I’m not counting it as a book read.  But I do think it’s worth a review, so I’m posting it here in my blog.  Just so’s you know.  *grin*
Originally when I read this book, it was the first time I’d read any of Lora Leigh’s Breed stories.  Now having read her Ellora’s Cave stories as well as the other Berkley Sensation books, so much of what happens makes a LOT more sense.  So while I originally said the book stands alone, it is MUCH better if at least Megan’s Mark is digested first.   Better yet if it’s read within the context of, and in its place in, the series.

RATING:
Excellent ~ 4 stars

BOOK READ:

Lora Leigh; Harmony’s Way; Berkley Sensation Paranormal Romance; Dec 2006

SYNOPSIS:

Harmony Lancaster is a Breed; which is to say that her genetic material is combined human and lion DNA.  Trained from childhood, and used as such, she is the Breed assassin known as Death.  But at 15 years old, she escaped and for the last 10 years has been on the run.

Sherriff Lance Jacobs is familiar with Breeds and he has agreed to have a Breed as his newest Deputy.  Unfortunately what neither Lance nor Harmony knows is that there is an ulterior motive in putting the two of them together.

MY NOTES:

Another steamy romantica tale that's also a marvelous story!

The action in this story is fast, furious and enthralling.  Although this isn't the first book in the series, there is plenty of background information given ~ the book can stand alone.  The romance between Harmony and Lance is very intense, but also very satisfying; I love how Lance gives back to Harmony her humanity.

For readers who enjoy HOT, steamy sex scenes and who don't mind explicit language, this book is a winner.

I might need to put this on

I might need to put this on my list. Your re-reading says more than your rating. With all the books out there you have re-read it this soon. Cool

Hi Star...

...it really is a great story... and I found it even better the second time around.  Knowing a lot more of the background, etc helps, but once again the relationship between Harmony and Lance was incredible.

Have you read any other of Lora Leigh's books?

No. I put her on my list for

No. I put her on my list for the new to me mini challenge. That list is getting longer and longer.

Oh I hear ya...

... I wasnt' going to buy books in January... that one's shot to pieces.

... I was going to read more TBR books first... I'm trying, but I keep finding these other books that scream "Read me FIRST!"

... I was going to challenge myself by trying to read more out of my comfort zone... so far, not sure just what that is.

But whatever, I'm having fun! Laughing

My goal last year was to

My goal last year was to order from Harlequin every other month. That didn't go very well. I thought I would try it this year. Not doing a good job this year since I have ordered twice in January. Embarassed

You are right! I am having fun and that's all that matters. Innocent
