As usual, I didn't read all the instructions and have somehow stumbled into this place. Which is great, long as I can get home again.

I uploaded one then decided to go with another, kept deleting the first and uploading the second, but the first one stuck!

And...how do we post without hitting reply?

And how do we get our whole signature to display? Is it a number of characters allowed? I thought it was lines, but it keeps diplaying a sixth line only to cut it short! 

OK, these are the first three questions of what I'm sure will be many until I get the hang of this place!

Jan, remember (at the top of the posts) to click and save this room to favorites and then you just have to click on 'my favorites' to find it easily next time.

Ola- also at the top of the posts you click on 'add new comment' to post. I had to figure that one out too wothout using the 'reply' button. And so far all I've managed is my name in my sig line. Still working on links to my email and blog. Or why my pic won't show up.

I'll just leave this plate of Chocolate cheesecake bites here and go check out some more rooms.

Hmm the only thing I can think of for the picture not changing is not hitting the "submit" button.

Right now it's looking like we have to scroll all the way back to the top and click "add comment". I asked Jayne over at Welcome to community 2.0 if we can get a "back to top" button.

Olivia, I'm having the same problem with my picture. The colour of the first one is too strong, so I decided to delete it, went out of the Profile area and came back in, added the new one and clicked the submit button but it's still coming up the previous photo. So it's not just you. Hopefully others have had the same problem and have found a solution. I'll search around. 

Hey, this time 2 years ago both myself and Tessa Radley had just finished doing the Desire Pitch Challenge with Melissa Jeglinski here in the chatrooms. Oh, and how can I forget that Jennifer Lewis also did the pitch. (hi, Jen!)

Melissa requested full manuscripts from all of us, I sent mine a few days later and she bought it 2 weeks later on January 26th. Tessa sold hers to Melissa about a week after that, and Jennifer a month or so after that.

Happy anniversary to the other ladies!

And to everyone else, remember that dreams do come true. It took me over 20 years to sell my first book and I'm so glad I hung in there.

So glad to see my favorite rooms are still here! I participated in the pitch 2 years ago as well (waving at everyone). I didn't sell that particular manuscript, but I'm still writing and growing (hopefully). And looking back at that manuscript with new eyes, I'm glad it didn't sell. Melissa J.'s comments on why she rejected it were right on and I've carried those comments over and applied them to my newer manuscripts. It was a great learning experience!

Tina, yes, I remember you had done one of the pitches. And though you didn't sell to MJ that time, take heart in knowing that Jen hadn't sold in her first pitch either. Good luck!

Thanks for letting me know, Maxine.  I am going to go and test things out and see if I can come up with a fix.  If not, I will report it as an issue to be fixed.

I would love to try some of the recipes in Sizzle, Seduce and Simmer but am stuck on what castor sugar is.

I'm glad someone answered that!  I was wondering... baffled because I'd had cooking/baking classes in college but didn't recall that at all.  Figure they just didn't cover it---sure it had nothing to do with me snoozing...

Bren- Bread crumbs and signs left for boy toys- Ma'am! I'm just glad you didn't have to dip into that list of &^%$*%$# words to find your way! And, guess what?  Yep- its still available even though some of the others are missing now!

Thanks. I got really confused with that term. At first I thought it was just regular sugar but then some recipes called for sugar, I thought it was icing sugar but no some recipes called for icing sugar.

This new site is pretty cool! I had no trouble finding everyone. I also think the new smilies are awesome!

And THANKS to all of you Desirables who gave me sage advice about how to navigate the new community. Still haven't found the recent posts option, though. My new photo came up only after I shut down the browser and reopened it. And thanks to all of you who accepted my friendship request. Lovely to have so many great friends!

I think I'll come to love the new community. So many new options to explore. But don't know if I'll have enough time to explore now. I'm heading for the deadline cave. At least now I'm out of the flu cave, even if I'm still in the MAJOR dental work one. But again at least the root canals have been done and I'm not having lightning discharging in my head anymore!

Thanks to Ellen for her suggestion in hitting the Refresh button to replace my old photo with the new one. It worked, even if it did cut off the top of my head a little. Still, it'll do for now. 

...passed a lot of lost and bewildered looking hot guys along the way, and then I stumbled in here. Woo-hoo! Hi everyone and thank you for the congratulations. I'm ever so happy to see my VOWS 's in the Waldies top-10.

I like the new look and the smilies (although I haven't found out how to use them, I SEE them smiling at me from other posts) and the ability to use Favourites for threads I visit regularly. And look, a friending option! I also managed to chop my photo, but will play with that when I have some time. Right now I'd best double back and see if I can help those guys...

Maybe I can entice them to be My Friends.

...or can I just not see? I've looked and looked and can't see the smiley icon. Perhaps I need sat-nav instructions. Or a mud map even.

Also, I haven't been able to find where to add my bio and other profile stuff apart from my picture and sinature line. If someone can point me in the direction of the forum discussion where all these questions have been answered before I'd be most grateful.

Will try closing the window and coming back in to see if my picture resubmit has worked.

And Nicki, I don't mind you using that pic at all.
