Hi Gail, Unfortunately,

Hi Gail,

Unfortunately, this color font has been set as the default.  I will be sure to share your comments and we may have the option to change the font color in the future.

Have a great weekend!

Jeanette

font color

Thanks, Jeanette.  I can't be the only one who has a hard time with the light font.  It doesn't seem like it would be such a hard thing to change, so maybe they'll do it.

Font Color

Gail, you're definitely not the only one.  It was my first impression as well.  Now I have gotten used to it.  If you can believe it, there was something to do with the back-end code that affected the font color.

We did have the option to change it when the new design launched but, it had to be removed as it caused some weird things to happen to the text.  I know there looking into it and I am hoping it gets changed soon too.  I will keep you posted.

Jeanette

font

Well, it's  not that it's impossible to read, but it's not very inviting.  I really dislike the yellow on white....  but maybe they'll figure out a way to change it.  Thanks for checking!!!Laughing

SRS...

I really enjoy this line ... I started my somewhat adult reading career with mainly mystery / thriller / suspense and some romance (Agatha Christie / Alistair MacLean / Robert Ludlum / Mary Stewart) primarily, so the Sihouette Romantic Suspense stories are right up my alley!
I think this will be a great forum.  Smile

Thanks so much, Ellen!  I am feeling much better today.  I guess sleeping all day yesterday really helped.  Plus, it felt good to get the rest.  The chat was so much fun!  I am looking forward to next month.

Welcome, Kalyko!  Suspense is my favorite type of story as well.  Silhouette Romantic Suspense, Harlequin Intrigue and Silhouette Nocturne are all great series.  A good way to sample some of the stories is to visit our Online Read Library for free stories from each of the series, including a Silhouette Romantic Suspense by Linda Conrad.  Here is the link to check them out:

Upcoming Books

WHOOHOO!  Cindy Dees has a new SRS miniseries coming out in April.  Can't wait until March 1 so I can order it.

Cindy - if your lurking, when is another Medusa book coming out?

Kathy

More MEDUSA Books on the way!

Hiya Kathy!

Funny you should ask about more Medusa books...the two that SRS published have done well enough that I've been allowed to do more Medusa stories! The 6th original Medusa, Kat, is finally going to get her book. The proposal was approved earlier this week, in fact. I'll write it this spring, and then it'll be up to the slotting gods to determine when it'll hit the shelves. But it's on the way. And...I've got a couple more Medusa stories up my sleeve, too. The snake ladies definitely live on!

Thanks for asking...and now back to work on the 2nd H.O.T. Watch book...

Cindy

Thanks Cindy

for the info about Kat's book.  Go snake ladies.  I hope TPTB release it shortly after you finish writing it.  In the meantime I look forward to your H.O.T. Watch series coming out.  Happy witing.

Kathy

Need Something?

No problem, Kalyko!  If you're every looking for something, just let me know.  I am happy to help.Smile

April Covers are out

Howdy ladies!

Today is a red letter day for me...literally...the April SRS covers are out, and this is the first time I've gotten a red cover! I always seem to end up with the purple one that makes everyone on the cover look vaguely undead. But my characters have the right hair color and her red dress and his black shirt and everything! Couldn't be more tickled...okay, so I'm really, really easy to please. What can I say?

Back to manic deadline mode...

Best,

Cindy

April covers

Congrats on the cover!  Red sounds lucky -- it will stand out!Laughing  I'm surprised that you just got the April cover, though.  I have a May book and was hoping to have my cover soon......Frown

Love the cover

Cindy - went on your site to check out the cover but it's not there yet.  Sooooo, I checked out Amazon and there it was.  WOW I love the red cover.  I'm so glad they got the models right.  So many times they'll have the cover model with dark hair and the description in the book will have the h/H with blonde hair.  Now if March would hurry up and get here so I can order it.

Kathy

OK I'm leaving

OK I'm leaving to go look at the cover. Catch ya'll later.

Cindy's new cover

very nice Cindy! and is it just me or does the heroine remind anyone else of Ali Larter (Nikki/Jessica) from Heroes?

Your right Kelley

she does look like Ali Larter.

Kathy

and those gold hoop earrings

and those gold hoop earrings add to the impression since that's all larter's character(s) wear in Heroes. :-) But Ali Larter is a very pretty girl so it definitely works on the  book cover.

The Dark Side of Night

That is a very eye-catching cover, Cindy!  I am looking forward to checking out The Dark Side of NIght at eHarlequin.com on March 1st.   I also had a peek at your website and it looks great.  Please let us know when the new site launches.

covers

I wonder how they decide who gets which color cover each month?  The red definitely stands out in a good way!  Actually, all the covers are nice, though.  I must say that I like them better than Intrigue covers.  They are sexier, which I guess shows the difference in the two lines.

New Cover for Cindy

I found the cover at Amazon and it is hot.  I am lucky in that I get the books in late February as I get them through reader services.

The covers have been very good on this line and the Intrigue is getting better covers.

Merline Lovelace

Hi everyone! My first time here so not sure how this works yet. Merline Lovelace has been a favorite author for years and I've been following her code  name: danger series through several lines of books! I think they were IM, Desire, and now these. I also enjoyed her 2 stories in the Harlequin Next line and am bummed that line discontinued. I hope Crash from those 2 stories gets his own in this line with the Code Name: Danger series! I wanted to email her and ask but couldn't figure out how :-(

Which other authors are good in this line? Any good series like code name : danger to look for?

Hi Quilt938

I didn't know the Code Name: Danger series was so old - since 1995 if I remember correctly from her website.  I think I only have her two recent SRS ones, but need to check my TBR boxes to see if I have any of her others.  Are these books stand alone or do I need to read the others first?  I have a number of books by Merline Lovelace -Holiday Honeymoon series - that I have already read.

To answer your question about a good SRS series, you can never go wrong with Cindy Dees.  She has two series - Charlie Squad which is SIM/SRS only and The Medusa Project which started in the Bombshell line but came over to SRS when that line ended.  Both are fantistic.  She is an autobuy for me.  I am so lucky to have every book she has written for Harlequin since her earlier books are hard to find.  Especially the first book in the Medusa series.  If you look on Amazon you will see that all her books have very good reviews.  Hope this helps.

Kathy

P.S.  Cindy has a new series coming out in April called H.O.T. Watch.

thanks Kathy! I think I've

thanks Kathy! I think I've seen the name Cindy Dees and might have one of her books in my huge-mongous TBR pile...I'll check her out. They sound like books I'd enjoy.

yes, I think the Codename Danger series started in the 90's.I read them around fall of '98.I remember my grandma was in the hospital and I stopped at ubs that has since closed and the lady there recommended several books that I bought and read while waiting for the worst..these 4 titles and a trade size book with 2 of Linda Howard's mackenzie stories: mountain and mission. So all 6 of thse stories have been special since then.

This afternoon I went through my shelves and found the other 4 that fell in between those first 4 and these last 2 I've read. I think I know why I dont' remember them! One deals with a man who was frozen and another with some sorta biological weapon..those subjects I know for sure didn't inteest me when they came out! But I want to read them again!

I think you can read them alone but other character are mentioned and you're probably gonna be curious about 'their story'.I'm wanting Mike and Jilly's story and hoping Crash from the N ext line will get one too...ones story is in the desire line though - devlin and the dep blue sea and in that one I rememberAdam and Maggie show up and they're from the 1st 4 books with their own story in the 4th I believe. I think I'm still missing a bookb ecause It hink someone named 'cyrene' was mentioned but it mght be the first 'romantic suspense' title and I might have it too. I always buy her titles but I don't always go through the books...

Susanna

Thanks Susanna

Looks like I will have to dig out my TBR boxes to see if I have any of the Code books hiding in there.  I hope I don't have too much trouble finding the other books in the series.  I know my library only has 1 of the Code books.  Thanks again.

Kathy

March Online Read

Howdy gang!

Just thought I'd give you a head's up that I've written a daily online read for eHarlequin that will go live in March...it sets up my new H.O.T. Watch series and was a BLAST to write!

And I thought telling a great romantic suspense story was a challenge in a 55-60K word SRS...hah! It was another game altogether to do it in 10,000 words...evenly spaced across 20 installments. Whew.

I have to confess, though. After writing the online read, I've loved writing the current H.O.T. Watch book for SRS. I have so much room to play with!

(By the way, the hero of my current WIP is Major John Hollister, Brian Riley's commander from THE MEDUSA SEDUCTION...)

At any rate, for any of you who'd like an early peek at the H.O.T. Watch, this'll give you a taste of its very beginning. I believe the series starts Monday, March 3rd and has a new installment every weekday in March. Should be a fun ride.

And now back to yet another insane deadline...

Best,

Cindy

Thanks for the Heads Up Cindy

Now I really can't wait for March to come.  I sometimes forget to check out the online reads, so your heads up is very appreciated.  I remember the Major from The Medusa Seduction.  I love when we get to revist characters from previous books.  I am SOOOOO looking forward to reading more books by you.  Thanks.

Kathy
