This year KathyD (KathleenDoney) & I teamed up in "Novel Obsession". However, the new format really isn't compatible to the team effort, but we wanted to continue with our plans, so like the other teams, we blog separately and tag to our team name.
Now, along comes the end of the month and I merrily go along and type up my reads and stats for January and chat away because in the past it's been all about me!
So my apologies to KathyD - I'm reposting my January reads with the new title of our under our team name. I won't forget this in February! I am, however keeping the TBR and acquired/purchased stats separate as I don't believe Kathy is keeping any at this time.

So you're the captain of the team ElleJay
It's hard work, but someone's gotta do it

Hi Sadhbh!
Well, we never really talked about it, but since I'm the one -since day one 2007- to keep track of all my books on a spreadsheet, all the blogs on WORD and more spreadsheets on stats - I just sort of drifted into tracking Kathy's stuff too. Thank goodness she is not as a prolific reader as you or I'd be exhausted keeping up!
I'm kind of a control freak (I'm in management and in the accounting field - need I say more?!!)

Not all about you...
... I love it ElleJay! I'm going to enjoy going through some of these team reports. And as much as I like reading about the team-work, personally I *know* that I'd fail miserably at it. I'm such a loner.... Something that I've had to learn about myself.

I know what you mean...
I'm a loner too and very much an introvert. However, the teams seemed to have so much fun and KathyD and I hit it off right from the start when we met last year. I think because we had someone in common - my sister, we tended to trust each other very quickly. My sister used to live just few houses from Kathy's and although they didn't really know each other, she has cut my BILs hair. My sister has since moved to another town but we still have lots to talk about.
I wasn't positive if the "team" thing was for me so I asked Kathy and decided that whatever she wanted to do I would be happy with. Actually in one way this year's format works well for both of us. We still have our independance.

Hi everyone,Hi Ellejay,
Hi everyone,
Hi Ellejay, Absolutely nothing to apoligise for girl. I never expected.., i was going to say you...but, truth is, i never expected either of us to keep track of our combined totals. Never really thought about it to be honest.
Speaking for myself, it would drive me nuts if i had to keep track of both our totals...i'm having a hard enough time keeping up as it is.
lol
So feel free to keep us organized if that's what you feel comfortable doing...completely up to you.
I have to admit though, it's kinda nice seeing my read books listed, with favorites highlighted. I woulda sworn i'd rated more than one book that high.
TC,
Kathy D
Hi KathyD!
It is easy to track your books too - you saw my spreadsheet - I just added a column for you too! I'm just glad you don't read like Sadhbh - I don't think I could keep up then!
Bye!

ROTFLOL you two, how do you think
I got elected to be captain?

It might be a daunting task
Lol, It might be a daunting task to keep track of the amount Sadhbh reads...but oooh to be able to read that fast and go thru that many books...can we say seventh heaven? (wah, i need more Emoticon selection!)
I don't think i'd be classified as very organised, except when cooking or cutting hair, or making or building something and things like that. Hmm, come to think of it, maybe i'm more organised than i thought...
I think i was thinking more along the lines of a neat freak, and that i'm not.
Although there was a time before kids that i was pretty close...but i discovered kids and neatness didn't equal happiness, for anyone, lol, so i changed...and it stuck.
Kathy D
I'm not very neat either...
My place is a mess right now and my excuse for not doing more cleaning is that I have a report and presentation to do next Saturday for the course I'm taking. I know, excuses, excuses... but believe me I think I'd rather to the housework!
