I was just wondering what everyones favorite books or authors are??
Has anyone read Goodnight, Mr.Tom by Michelle Magorian? I read it when I was in middle school and it turned into my favorite book immediately. It's about an abused boy who, during a war, is evacuated to the country. In the country he goes to stay with an older man who at first seems inconvienianced by having to take him in, but soon adores the boy and wants to take him in as his son.
Lately my favorite types of books have been romantic humor with authors like Sophie Kinsella and Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum series.

Good Night Mr. Tom
That was an awesome book! I read it around middle school too.
My favorite book that I still love that I read in middle school for the first time is The Blue Sword by Robin McKinley. I have read it many many times since then.
Laughter is an instant vacation- Milton Berle
Favorite book
I would have to say that my all time favorite book is If I should Die Before I wake By: Han Nolan. It was a required book for maybe 9th grade or something but I really got into it.
Book blurb:
Hilary hates Jews.
As part of a neo-Nazi gang in her town, she's finally found a sense of belonging. But when she's critically injured in an accident, everything changes. Lying near deathin a Jewish hospital, Hiary finds herself bombarded by memories of a life in Poland. A life she never lived. Somehow, Hilary has become Chana, a Jewish girl fighting for her own life during WWII.
Forced from thier home by the Nazis, Chana and her family struggle in the terrible Lodz ghetto, where starvation drives people to desparate acts and the sreets are smeared with filth. Those strong enough to survive are shipped out- to the slaughterhouse at Auschwitz.
How can Chana-or Hilary- survive?
This book really stayed with me after I read it but it took me so long to remember what it was called. I actually just happened to come across it at Barnes and Noble, not even looking!
It may sound twisted but I am extremely interested in the Holocaust and this was a phenominal story.
AS far as my favorite books to read, It changes every time I pick up a new book. I have about 375 books right now in my libarary and they range from series mysteries, to romantic comedies, to medical thrillers. If I had to narrow it down though, I would say that I love reading about babies or when the setting is a tropical island.
We might not have it all together but together we have it all. Suchacutie316
