Why do you believe in LOVE?

First kisses of course!  There is nothing like it when two people connect with that first kiss, bottle rockets explode and breath quickens.  At the same time there is no space inside for anything else except the other person. In an instance you know if it’s that second skin feeling, holding hands, and how well your hands fit together, glove over hand, and knowing your hands belong on one another.  I believe because there is nothing about it that makes sense, the sensation can’t be explained logically, it can’t be broken down into increments that are processed and swallowed one teaspoon at a time, it’s just a feeling that begins at the bottom of your size ten toes, travels the length of your body, finally settling in the pit of your stomach at a slow simmer while you fight for control until it bubbles over, until there is nothing else.  Suddenly you are gliding across a room instead of walking.  You world takes on colors that are vibrant and noisy, chatty, and alive with sensation not quantifiable.   A lover will look back over this part of their life with great mystery, they may even attempt to define and explain in a scientific way.  They will force fit reasons for the temporary insanity, they will plot with amazing accuracy each step down the Ring of Fire they felt during love’s first blush and only come back to the first kiss, where it all started.
