Both of them aren’t looking for distractions in their life but it seems that fate isn’t listening because now they must decide whether taking a chance on love is worth all the hassle. Or is this second chance just too much of a gamble?

The Single Dad’s Patchwork Family by Claire Baxter is a rich and powerful story of two people grasping a chance at happiness with each other after so many years of loneliness. I fell in love with all of the characters in this book because of their deep honest emotions. Regan, for her courage and tenacity to hold herself together in a crisis, even if it felt that she was sacrificing happiness for the good of her children. And Chase, because he realized that closing himself off from people wasn’t helping him or his daughter. This whole book captivated me from start to finish, the story was prolific with descriptive scenery, so much so that I could almost imagine myself being there with them. Kudos to Ms. Baxter for penning yet another fantastic romantic story where the characters seem like family and the readers’ imagination takes flight into fantasy.
