Here's a pic of what my bookshelf looked like before. Note the stack of books on the right of the shelf in plastic containers and the shoebox. All of this is my TBR pile.
And this is my old bookshelf now. There are only two rows of books that have to be double stacked. I can't express how exciting that is to me. And I no longer have plastic storage containers in my bedroom.
And here is my new bookshelf. I put all of my category romances and HQN's on it.
I can't express how exciting all of this is to me. Hubby was so sweet getting up this morning and assembling it for me.
Now, I figure if I get two more I can get my keepers out also. Of course, there is the slight problem as to where I will put them. We only have wall space for one more in the bedroom. I am sure I will figure something out.

What a nice hubby and what a great organization job you have accomplished. It looks really well organized. When my husband and I deceided to get a new headboard for our bed, we wanted bookcases. We looked and looked and looked and finally concluded that only children (twin size beds) are allowed to have books at the headboard. We finally had one built for our king size so that we had a place to store even more books. We already have a library full and overflowing. We have put some of our favorites in our bedroom and it has really added a nice amount of book storage.

We are also in the process of figuring out a place for a nice bookcase because as of now my tbr books are still in boxes and stacked on small shelves etc... Yours looks really good! Kudos to your hubby for assembling it for you.

This is actually an entertainment shelf, intended for DVD's but the depth is also perfect for paperbacks. I got it at a discount furniture store and it was definitely worth the money. I've looked at the DVD storage units before but haven't bought them because they were so narrow. This one is about three times the length. Obviously I was a little giddy when I found it.
I'm jealous!!!

I was just about to ask where you found one that fits categories. One thing I hate about most bookcases is there are too deep. I will have to keep my eye out for DVD shelving units. Thanks and it looks great.
