Here are the three finalist entries in the category:
Thank you so much to the contest readers. I'm trilled to have a finalist book.
Full details of all the category finalists are here.
An excerpt of the story and purchasing details are available via the Booklist Page of my website.
And for Australian and New Zealand readers, I'm happy to say 'To Love and To Cherish' is available for purchase at www.eharlequin.com.au
now and will also be in down under stores in the month of April. The
book includes a free bonus novella written by Carla Cassidy.
And finally, if you've been watching my blog entries and noticed the books reviews have dried up over the past few weeks - I confess I've been very, very busy working on my writing and as a result, I've turned to comfort behaviour when I've had a little reading time and picked up some favourites to re-read. This has allowed me to 'just read' bits and pieces of the story while knowing what else happened. Do any of you do this when you can't quite pit your brain toward brand new reading?
I've also been very good about not buying any more books. No more books until I have time and am in the frame of mind to enjoy reading some of the ones I have! I wonder how long I'll last with this decision. Every time a new catalogue hits my Inbox or mailbox I waver...

Fantastic news.
I don't often reread books but I do have a few I open and read a few pages of and then remember the story.

Thank you Claire, Ellen and Nicola.
Ellen, I've dug myself into twice the hole with the re-reading because I did it with a couple of books that started off two different series. Now I want to read both entire series again. Still, I have found it just the ticket for helping me to relax for an hour before bed lately and I guess I know if I started a brand new book I might find it too hard to put down.

Major congrats!
I'm so excited for you! I'm embarrassed that Italian Single Dad is still in my HUGE tbr.
I'm with you in being really good about buying (and borrowing) fewer books. I have books in my tbr that go back 2+ years and if I don't buy or borrow any more, it will still take me about 2 years to get through my tbr. Of course, I can't buy NONE but I am keeping it down: mostly HRs and HMRs. The nice thing about those books -- besides how WELL they're written -- is how short they are (but wow do they pack a lot of story into a little bitty book). I can get them done in a couple of hours. Of course, my calculations for how long it will take me to get through my tbr took that into account. Sigh.
I (like you) also re-read passages of books. Sometimes when my brain won't turn off at bedtime, I'll pick up a book that I've read and re-read a favorite scene that was sweet (which pretty much means I'm picking up an HR or HMR -- hmmm, I'm seeing a pattern here LOL).

Penn, two years' worth of reading, huh? I don't know how long it would take me to get through the books I have currently. I can recall times when I've had no books in the house that I haven't already read, though not for a while. That's my idea of a complete nightmare to be honest. Even worse than not having chocolate around when it's needed.
I hope you enjoy The Italian Single Dad when you get to it.
My PDA's been calling to me the last couple of nights so I suspect I will probably cave in and read something new soon - maybe over the Easter long weekend when I can kid myself I can afford the time. Hee.

Don't miss
To Love and to Cherish. If you love Jennie's emotional reads, you're going to LOVE this book. I have to admit that I liked it even more than The Italian Single Dad from an emotional standpoint. Totally different flavor of story, though. Jennie's books are different in plot and character but similar in the emotional impact. (I am like not your biggest fan or anything.)

Emotions in story
Thanks, Grace. I love exploring the emotional issues in my books. I think it's one of the pleasures of writing for the Harlequin Romance line. There's plenty of scope for that.
